The Detailers Box is a new car wash and detailing shop opened up in Glasgow stocking a lot of decent brands like Auto Finesse and GTechniq.
I've spoken to them about getting a little meet organised for us, and they're happy to have us along for a day.
There'll be free tea, coffee and juice...
Fitted cage today. Became 10% more racecar.
Still have all the tar to remove :(
And another photo I found quite cool for good measure
Put my R888's on wheels too. Productive day. Just brakes to sort and book up for friday. Oh, and get spacers so the R888's will clear my coilovers.
Unfortunately not mate, 54mm spacing on a 172 cup vs. 58mm on a dci. Could elongate the holes for all the extra it would be. Not sure how safe that is though.
Just a quick idea for a route for this. Stirling chosen as a completely random start point btw to get an idea of average route length and time for people depending where they're coming from. Feedback and suggestions welcome on this if people feel it's too long/short/could be improved by taking a...
Got some track tyres last night
Set of R888s and a pair of kumho's supposedly used in the clio cup series. Couldn't pass them up at the price, so might try and find another pair and that'll be 2 full sets I have.
Gonna put the R888s on my old 15" dci wheels for now though if they fit. 205...
How different is it to CM? I would but I hate effort. And that involves effort. Although it would give me an excuse to root since it'd be a fresh install.
See the above in red
I done my first track day in an almost standard car. Standard brakes, ATE fluid, road tyres (pilot sport 3's), standard seats, belts, steering wheel etc, air con still in. All I had done was strip out the rear, although it was on coilovers with a Whiteline rear...
Mines has been a bit s**t since the Lollipop update too. It looks nice when it works, but it's generally a lot more laggy now and the battery life is still as s**t as it was when I complained about 20 posts back. Still struggling to get a full day out it.
Interest so far, just to keep on top of names:

I thought that was the following weekend Jamie? 6th July or something rings a bell.
I've not had the time to keep on top of this thread or even look up any routes btw guys, but it seems there's a decent bit of interest so far. Work and everything should ease up next week though so I'll try and...
Good idea with the dash cam @Dannyeff!
@-Jamie- that's easy for you to say being near to Fort William, that road is about 2 or 3 hours away from most of us LOL! 😂 Had a little look on street view though, and it does look a fairly epic road!
Off the top of my head I reckon the best route will be to head up the side of Loch Lomond and then where we go from there just depends on how long a drive it's going to be. Don't want anything ridiculous lol
Not too sure where we'll all meet up. Being a bank holiday it could be quite busy so best plan may be to just park up where you can and all meet up just outside Tony Roma's.
Don't be late! I'm starving already 😂
Ok guys, not much in the way of details yet as it's just an idea, but does anyone fancy a run out up round Loch Lomond and maybe up Fort William direction? Nice drive up round the roads, stop of for some food along the way, pictures etc.
Thinking Sunday 28th June. Hopefully the weather improves...
@Martin_172
Pretty sure I just walked past you at your work. Would've said hi if i'd noticed before I was walking out the door! You looked busy anyway lol
In my experience, AG HD wax tends to go on quite thick so shows up a very noticeable coating on the car. Some softer waxes go on a lot thinner and are very hard to see.
So long as you're covering the car evenly the amount shouldn't matter (i think, someone may correct me on this). A thicker...
I'd advise going for an open pit session for your first track experience. My first was a 2 hour evening session at the start of last month. Managed 4 stints in the 2 hours, probably around an hours track time total. At 70 quid it does seem expensive but when you compare the time on track it's...
I've been needing an excuse to try something like hydr02 tbf so will give it a go on this. I should probably invest in a better washmitt and drying towels too. Is the carpro mitt still a favourite?
He has actually lol! Only one though 😂
There's a few seem up for it so far, here's a link to the actual meet thread

What's on at Crail mate? Think I'll be heading up to Knockhill on...
Cheers! Yeah, hoping for a nice deep glossy finish when it's done. No idea how I'm going to keep it in it's polished condition though! Won't want to touch wash it lol, as I said above, I actually could see myself leaving marks as I was drying it with a drying towel last night (I know I know...
