Will have a read up on that. Never thought of marking the backing plate to keep track of the speed before either!
But yeah, I did indeed! Looks good from a distance
But then this happens up close
Lots of swirls to deal with. Other scratchy looking bits too, but very very little that I...
Yep, there should be one next month roughly over that way [emoji1] Getting into better weather now too so will be getting some decent weekend meets on the go soon! We're going to Tony Romas on Monday at Braehead though if you fancied that?
Keep an eye out for the monthly meets, I try and keep...
Was that an old EP civic or the FN shape?
A mate had an EP2 and his paint wasn't that soft. Mine on an FN3 though is so soft I marked it with a drying towel last night! Lol
Cheers Kev I'll give that a go. Going to need to brush up on my technique I think. Don't think I'm really getting the...
Does anyone have any tips before I give the new daily (honda civic) a quick machine polishing? 'Tis VERY swirly. I know the paint is soft so don't want to go at it too much. Especially without a paint depth gauge.
Thinking about trying a white hex pad with something like tripple or lime prime...
I've managed to sort my battery life out a bit now. Its no longer draining with the screen off as I've got privacy guard stopping a lot of wakelocks but 'android system' is still taking up way more battery than it should. Probably looking at 20% usage anyway. Factory reset needed I reckon...
Had a test last night. Car is hitting 400 bar on cranking and is pretty much spot on in terms of requested vs supplied rail pressures when driving so the fuel pump seems fine.
Typical though, couldn't replicate the problem when reading the live data. Feels more like a boost issue now I think...
I had 25mm on the front and 15mm hub spacers on the back mate. Wheels sat well but it didn't sit low enough IMO to suit it so took them back off. Rears are still on though as I could never be bothered with the effort of taking those off!
I think 15-20mm on the front would be better. The back...
Ooh nice and cheap those, will give them a go then. That's not bad for fuel consumption! I like the torque of the diesel though and just being able to put the foot down and go (totally definitely not trying to justify a diesel here...).
Ahh see, twice the price of Clio parts, my logic still...
I don't think I could deal with the 1.8 petrol on motorway drives lol! I did think about it though but love a good diesel [emoji23]
I want HIDs rather than uprated bulbs for it, but I'm afraid I'll be burned at the stake on here for fitting them in reflector lenses.
Are the parts prices that...
I haven't had any offers yet! Although I know what I'd like for it and it's probably more than you'd want to pay if you want it cheap :tongueout:
Cheers mate! Lol, the FMIC on them looks so good! Can get a kit for them too which makes it nice and easy. Will probably enjoy the power for a while...
A Honda Civic type S GT, the 2.2 diesel one. So much nicer to be in than a Clio. I think the thing I like most is having an arm rest and a 6th gear lol! I'll miss the dci, although I've already started looking at mods for the Civic 😂 mapped to 200hp+ with a FMIC sounds rather...
Tony Roma's Endless Rib Mondays, need I say more? Who fancies it?
Aim for between 6:30 and 7pm on Monday 25th

So after much debate over the past few months, I've finally pulled the trigger and bought a new car. The dci will be going up for sale later tonight. Will be sad to see it go but I needed something a bit better than a clio for driving to work and back!
Yeah see it starts perfectly, just once running the problems appear. It does feel similar to when I had EGR problems to be fair, so boost related would make more sense. Will check the fuel pressures on it tonight if I get a chance though. Cheers!
Title says it all really. Car had been stuttering a bit at around 1800rpm the other day under gentle acceleration, but this morning I left for work and it was a lot worse. Car cut out on me when pulling away from two separate junctions. Pedal to the floor and it just never done anything.
Feels...
Cheers buddy  Hahah yeah, "this panel would look much better with a big scratch in it!" Google seems to just put the photos in any order it wants when I merge them together!
Today, I headed round to @benji93's for some more car things, since he'd just got his back after it being away at a garage for 5 weeks! Got some new exhaust hangers fitted to his 182, then I got mine indoors for some more polishing, and his outdoors for a bit of cleaning.
Panoramic photos ftw...
So now this weekend's work. Continued with some scratch removal yesterday afternoon when I got home from work.
This abomination under the mirror was never coming out, but it's been dulled down a lot
Had another go at the scratch from the previous post with some G3 scratch remover. Improved it...
Been a productive week this. Gave the car a proper clean and decon on my bank holiday Monday there. Starting early with the Scottish Car Show prep work lol. Was minging! Tar remover, iron x, the lot...was still a mess afterwards so attacked it with a clay mitt and eventually got it clean. Seemed...
Impressive stuff! I remember buying it and going to try it out until I felt how abrasive it was and just thought f**k no! Lol. I'll maybe give it a go now though.
The stuff with the green writing on a black bottle? I've got some of that but been too scared to use it with a DA, seems mega mega abrasive! Does it finish down alright? Might give it a go on some deeper scratches I have...
Any recommendations on a decent case? I want (need) a new one but I'm far too indecisive lol!
I like the looks of the nzxt phantom cases but I don't know whether or not to go for something more purposeful rather than for looks.
