Valves - the only brand I can find seem to be supertech; correct me if I am wrong but they do not appear to be 'single piece'; is there another brand that does produce one piece valves?
Thank you very much chip, very useful information!
Is there a rod / piston combination that is generally recommended - What are the main options?
Are there a variety of compression options avaliable with regard to the pistons?
Yes chip, something along those lines!
If you could all take a moment to look at this thread and provide me with some advice that would be much appreciated:

Thanks again.

Ok fundamental information that will help you guys advise.
Originally a Clio 182 road car.
Jenvey ITBs, fuel rail & ITG filter element.
High compression pistons.
Forged conrods.
Balanced throughout.

Congratulations, the satisfaction of building something yourself cannot be understated.
I suggest the combination of parts involved is muddying the water a little; it would be great to see the manifold on a stock engine.
Advise me on clutch choices.
5 speed manual transmission, alloy flywheel, Limited Slip Diff, slicks and engine output of 175/180 ft/lbs torque.
Car is NOT a road car, tarmac circuit only.
Many thanks.
Thanks you for your input. Stock type/volume injectors are being retained for resolution during mapping at the suggestion of the company involved.
Many thanks.
Congratulations for trying something different!
I do recall seeing a JMS Manifold on a car (maybe a cup?) that was similar to this at a rolling road in Surrey.
It had runner extensions fitted to increase torque output and I believe the only part changed was the radiator fan but I only had a...
Next on the list - would like to raise fuel pressure to circa 5 bar. Fuel rail is Jenvey item with braided lines / mocal fittings etc. Stock injectors.
Vehicle has a fuel tank without a return it seems so my belief is that an additional pump can be installed in series post OEM pump to generate...
Thank you, but I am looking for the thread specs on the fill / drain ports; the PDF you linked unfortunately does not have them as it is a service manual.
Ney bother, I will get the plugs measured. Thanks for your help.
High comp all steel Engine rebuild for a compeition car:
Are there any better options other than OEM parts for all of the short engine bearings?
Are alternatives even worth considering (as OEM are up to the job)?
Any other changes that should be considered at this point (parts wise only)...
I would like some advice on making a Jenvey throttle cable (& ITB kit) reliable in terms of; smooth operation, quick pedal return, long service life, minimal cable stretch,; anything else?
Not a road Clio so routing is very flexible, has a cable throttle pedal assembly.
Many thanks.
