What's the outer casing like? Mounting point wise. Trying to find this magical 130hp Mondeo pump that the lad used. Aparently just bolted where the original did with no faffing
Think that's what bob said needed machining to fit the dci housing. Didn't think it was that much of a massive...
It gets a good blast out nearly every day so I don't think I'll bother.
Might turn the AC into a charge cooler tho as the matrix thing for it behind the dash is fucked.
That's IF I run silly boost and fuel
On a modded dci. Although I have thought of standard ish hardware.
I know now a better box to fit , the common type that's fitted to DV6 pug engines. Ment to be good for torque and I tried my old dci flywheel on the gearbox shaft, it fits. Bell house bolt patter is a little off but loads of...
How common are they to leak air?
Got the full lot on order form Renault Wolverhampton , but is it the seals that f**k up in then or just age?
i know it's got to be air making my dci die or hunt on idle as the fuel likes look Like an expresso
ive asked him that so hopefully something comes of it.
they only other one i know of is on dci.net but they guy piggy backed the vw CR system onto the clio management.
made 180hp but had loads of running issues as it went into limp mode on idle.
if we are wanting abit of torque, i'd say...
it's going to end up as a second car for me soon, so might aswell go the whole shabang and make a monster 1.5. fun whilst destroying and rebuilding an all that lol
had a PM back, that quote i said earlier, his engine had standard 100 internals , running 176hp and pushing 400nm, but his box...
ive PM'd the guy to see what his mate had on it.
no unforunatly :P
i was looking at the 1.6hdi nozzles on ebay.
btw, got a price for forged rods, he can do them for around 600 for all four BUT i'd have to sorce better bolts for them, as he recon's the standard ones wont handle the abuse...
havent thought of that, BUT saying that, if your upping the pressure to the injectors, the nozzles can only deliver so much no matter the power behind them.
had a guy reply to my thread on TDOUK
'' I only know of one modded K9k, which is running a mondeo 2.0 130 pump, 2000bar rail sensor and...
flol dont f**k about do you ! what your pump with the fun map tho, if its bringing up fault lights for low fuel, dont ring its neck haha.
yeah already been in contact with darkside developments and they said they can get map sensors from 1bar to 5bar
going over to Coventry tomorrow to visit a engineering company , that makes custom forged rods and pistons.
for safety's sakes im hopefully getting a set of rods made up and possibly pistons depending on if ceramic coating them will help the standard 100's.
in turn im going all out to 200hp...
You'd defiantly know if you had a pod filter on the dci turbo.
Specially ontop of it . Heat stroke makes boost issues.
Its different for for diesels as appose to petrol's. I haven't had any over boost issues running a cold air feed.
only time I have over boost is when I rag it into another...
Better cleaner air works wonders ;) all a intercooler does is keep charge temps down. Colder air feed to the turbo works allot better along side it. Cleaner burn
just no !
induction kits on diesel is a no no unless you have cronic boost levels ( which the dci wont lol )
which plank told you diesels dont need to draw in cool air? :/
a simple aftermarket panel filter to fit the standard air box is more than enough. relocate the air feed pipe to...
bob had to put washer/shims in the injectors. Unless he was doing someone else's injectors by accident lol.
yeah Im looking at the nozzles but we the electrode thing with the correct pin pattern for the nozzles
You need a dump valve to do that lol. That standard dci 65/80 turbo doesn't have VNT :(
i would say, 250-300 for a proper map , say at rstuning
ic kit going Renault secondhand would be 100-150
complete custom - ebay kits made to fit 100-upwards
dump diverter ( not really good on a diesel )...
Age: 19
car: Clio dci 80
insurer : admiral group
price: £610 fully comp
NCB:1
they wanted £1700 if I carried on from my last policy with them, said I had a quote off elephant for £610 and the guy said its company policy to honour that quote if it's from admiral or elephant (same company)
thats the only thing putting me off , quality.
i would put the crdi's back in as stated before but i dont want a very hard injection set up , which inturn can caulse issues when mapped and worst case kill the engine.
theres so many bits you have to change when changin nozzles. shim washers...
look down the bck of the engine, you will see a small but good turbo which isnt even streching its legs lol.
whack a dci 80/100 cooler on. or aftermarket kit. map and you'll know the boost is there im sure!
What car is this ' non turbo ' if it's your 65, they do have a turbo lol
it'll make a difference with a better airfeed, somewhere to behind the headlight will be more than enough
