Genuine matey from rpd.
And previous experience, the 182 had same issue few years back and replacing CTS cured it. Makes sense really as if ecu thinks engine is cold still it'll keep chucking extra fuel in
Sorted some more bits today, refitted orange side repeaters and original interior door opening handles.
Also replaced the passenger side window switch with one with a working light in.
Then up to mates garage to fit the new inner tie rods I ordered other day and track the car up.
Also had...
Another one done today, new coolant temp sensor fitted as not happy about slightly high idle and poor mpg since I last used the car.
I also replaced the airbox for a slightly better condition used one thats not got gaffer tape all over it and now have all 4 clips too.
Cheers
Ben
New...
Final few jobs done, exhaust painted black, which will also be rehung to hide it better behind the bumper
headlights buffed again
seatbelts cleaned and scrubbed
MOT achieved with flying colours

Next up, fixed the none working boot light (also causes auto lock issues when just boot opened) by replacing the boot lock catch/sensor assembly
and replaced the rear wiper trim for brand new o/e one as the other one I had hastily resprayed with crappy paint.
old crappy painted trim

Next, fitting new rear bumper and tail lights, and also removed the side trims to clean behind them to whilst I was at it
So rip the rear of the car off, and bits everywhere initially
cleaned up, including trims off side
And new parts fitted including brand new plate light...
Fair bit more work done on the car recently, think I'll split it up a post per change as there's loads of pics to add as well.
Not going to necessarily be in chronological order I'm afraid but all occurred over past few weeks!
So first one in this thread is I had noticed some play in the...
You snapped it putting it back in? How tight did you try and do it up?
I'll have a look in my bolt box tomorrow morning and chuck one in post if I've got a spare.
Whenever I take anything apart I always use wire wheel attachment and wire bottle brush attachment on drill to clean the bolt and...
no chance I'm afraid, its my forever car that grey heap of crap, all the rest would go first.....although it would be difficult to let the red one go as well tbh........or the odyssey......or the RB......f**k think I have issues, can anyone recommend a counsellor?
I had it resprayed about 8 years ago I think it was, looked great in its heyday and went well. It'll live again when I stop spunking cash on the red one, the odyssey and the RB, flol!
Oh there's a chap over in Europe who sells front and rear jacking points as can't get them from Renault anymore, think he's active on the clio 16v Facebook group
Yeah it's got front jacking point issues too and needs sills ideally. It was boosted but I got into trackdays and bought another one for that so grey one was decommissioned and has sat ever since
Looks like this at mo
Glad to see the work going into this chap, should be lovely when done.
Need to sort my old grey one out at some point but the fear of the rust has stopped me thus far
Been sideways past the limit of grip plenty of times old bean, never felt the fabled 'snap' seems a bit like the bullshit 5k cam kick, not forthcoming ;-)
