i assume detach both ends and draw through bulkhead with the other one attached then reconnect?

i have just rang my local renault garage (it used to be renault franchised now they are just renault independant specialists) i need a new clutch so i got 2 quotes.

basically bought a battery cover from ebay made to the size i specified when ordering, my question is how the hell have you guys with them fitted them? it has 3 velcro pads underneath it to fix it, but the pos + terminal...
on mk2 ph1 i have the same shape gear knob as this but mine is blue with a blue top with the gears etc on.
is the top removable as i have felt the difference between the gearknob itself and the plastic top and they are different materials, which means they must be able to come apart. does anyone...

my bonnet feels rough compared to the rest of the body work, by rough i mean it doesnt feel as smooth when you run a cloth across it.

is it just me or does anyone else think that where they placed the dip stick (right under the fuel rail guard) is a stupid f**king idea as its a total b**ch to get at.

i have a problem with selecting gears occasionally at the moment and have been told by a garage that it might be the clutch on its way out. any ideas anyone.

Ok basically just bought a car from a dealer with a very basic warranty, basic meaning its only covering the gearbox and engine.
i have had a local mechanic look at it as it doesnt go into mainly 2nd gear properly, he thinks it may be the clutch going and...
as title says nokia 6280 boxed as new only used for bout 3 weeks still has protective covers etc.

trying to earth my sub in my boot on my mk2 ph1 clio. on my old one i earthed it to the seat mount bolt, but i cannot shift it on this one. any ideas anyone, preferably close to the back of the boot e.g not by the rear lights etc :D
basically mate pointed out my rear number plate wasn't working, took it out and looked at the bulb and it looked fine (no breaks in the filament) anyways took bulb out etc and the connectors are all corroded, does anyone know how to dismantle the unit so i can clean the components up, or maybe...

i have a mk2 ph1 clio with a standard fit im assuming cobra/renault alarm with the volumetric sensors inside. now i've read the manual for turning off the sensors inside by turning on the ignition 3 times etc but i cannot get it disarm so i can leave the windows open. can someone run me through...
