Just had a quick look , the aux belt seems really tight tbh , it is a renault belt but very tight

The tentioner was replaced in jan with all other parts .... So annoying

I'm thinking on Sunday I will take the aux belt off and start the car ... If rattle goes then it's prob water pump , if it's still there then it's prob tensioner ..... Does that sound right ? Lol

I had my belts and dephaser done a few months back and now my car has this horrible noise , apparently its the belt tensioner. if I have to replace this can I claim some money back from the parts company who supplied them ? I think its a gates belt the guy at Renault said that they are who they...

New water pump and dephaser etc in dec mate , i don't think it's a bottom end knock cos it's a constant noice .... Confused.com lol

Hi guys , ever since I had an oil change I seem to have developed this rattle , well my car has , who knows what this is ?!!! .... No really , who does know . It's a high pitched rattle that doesn't increase when you rev the engine . Answers on a post card too .... Or just post on here lol ...

My Clio 172 ph2 , has cruise control , my mate has a 197 steering wheel ( with cruise ) , can I swap them over ? Thanks

Are they actual gains or boy racer dreamer gains ( I.e putting an exhaust on gives 1 million horsepower etc lol )

The last Clio I broke made me 1800 quid , less 400 or so for your engine and you do the rest of the maths mate , which is what the garage will do ,after it's stripped the scrappy will give you 50-100 quid for the tub

So .... Will it cause issues is the question lol .....

It's the centre section part that's next to the back box one ... The fixing points are goosed so it will always rattle

Well you don't need a lot of stuff that they put on a car to be honest , they are a pain in the arse , the metal is wafer thin so that it will rust ..... Just. Wondered If it's worth messing around with or just remove all together

I'm sick of my rattling heat shield , hae tried to fix them but they are stupid ! Lol ... Can I just take them off , if so does it make much difference ? thanks

The condition of the plugs can tell you a lot about an engine mate , the best way is checking you have fuel , compression and a spark = engine running ,

Yes mate , idler is tight , just seems odd , the clicking is Click click click click rather than. Click .......... Click ........ Click. , does that make sense ? Lol

I did it , used all renault parts , used the usual method of jubilee clip etc ,

Just had new aux belt and tensioners and now the belt sounds like it's clicking ... Is it overtensioned ?
