Thanks mate.
Driving to work just now I was having the same issue (only when provoked) and the ABS & SERV lights came on about 10 mins in. I've also notice that I can feel the ABS firing under medium to heavy braking. It's the same feeling as when a wheel lifts off the ground.
Keeping this brief as I'm in a rush.
Just changed Rear discs and now I'm getting intermittent total brake failure, feels like the ABS is pushing up against my foot, not pulsing at all, just feels rock solid.
Took the car for a drive after changing the discs and about 15 mins in the ABS & SERV...
Spax quality issues seemed to have been brushed under the carpet..... How stran
Are yours the full coilover rear kit?
I've got the set with the separate shock and spring rears and haven't had any issues yet but your threads haven't exactly filled me with confidence!
What a buttplug. That area was too built up to be doing speeds like that. I'm far from perfect but those overtakes were a disaster waiting to happen.
Respect to the bloke who reported him, uploading it to boost his ego is worse than the driving IMO.
It's quite possibly in better shape than a low mileage motor of the same age. Once the engine is warm there's very minimal wear compared to a cold start.
With that many miles it'll have spent a lot of time at operating temp I'd imagine whereas a low miler might've only been driven to the shops...
Load it up in a high gear at low speed, put your foot to the floor and see if the revs rise without an increase in speed. If they do, that's clutch slip.
Haven't these radar jammers been around for years? I remember seeing an ancient fifth gear with something like it attached to a Volvo or Saab iirc.
Are these ones something different?
Yeah well that's the difference, it sprays on as an aerosol paint but it dries as a rubbery coating. You don't get the perfect finish of proper painting, but it's good enough for how cheap and easy it is.
Nope just spray on, I did 4 coats on mine just to get full coverage and a really bright finish.
Haven't tried the pressure wash or any washing yet. Worst case you can just spray it on again. Apparently if you get a chunk taken out, re-spray over it, and it all bonds together again as one surface.
This is true, but it's rising quickly. Also, as Australia is such a large country, you end up doing more miles per day/week.
So although the fuel is cheaper you use more, meaning the amount of dosh you spend on fuel isn't as different as the figures suggest.
