I saw a clio V6 in ashford yesterday, the owner waved at me so think its somebody of here... think the nmber plate was V6* SXY? If it was yours pm me as i would love to have a good look around it as hoping to buy a V6 nearer the summer. Chris

nothing wrong with Cat d.... just means beyond the cost of economic repair... ie: book price wasy £6k, but repair cost most than £2.5k... If you think a repair should would charge £600 front bumper £100 headlights £190 Bonnett Then Labour Respray your easily looking at £2000+ region.... If...

Why not... Yeh the car had a prang but was fully rebuilt using genuine new parts to a high standard.. higher that Renault some may say. A written of car does not mean you shouldnt touch it.... Cat D & C can be put back on the road and is better for the enviorment if thay are... If the car...

Looks a mess... would require alot of work... I would say £4k would get that on the road with a ok body shop... 5-6k with a decent bodyshop... My clio cost just under £3k to repair including buying the car at £1k..

260bhp..... bullsh*t power claims once again from a 5 owner... i doubt there are 3 R5 GT Turbos in this country... but yet every owner i meet claims to have massive BHP.... My 5 only has 180-200bhp but i am more than happy with that and does a 1/4 mile is 13.5 at 104mph.

Looks good, love the red 5 look. Glad you lept it looking standard. Engine Rebuild aint to bad can be done within a day if you have all the parts etc. Talking of which if you need anything drop me a pm... have loads... now to go to work on my Tungy 5 :-)

Only 45mpg??? I get 48mpg around town alll day teaching.... on motorway i get 60+ with the same engine... the 106hp engine is alot harder to chip as it pretty much running max... You could alway fit a bigger intercooler... ie: off a megan 225 (fit nicely) and run a bit more boost :-)

I have a subframe from a 1.2 16v, its also a ph1. It work fine, didnt need to drill any extra holes, i haven't bothered to strengthen it, but i was told from a guy who has had his fitted for 3 years and done over 60k.... he didnt say anything about strengthening it, just said it should be fine.

I found i was getting water coming in through the roof..... but only noticed it in the snow.... never in heavy rain etc...

My 5 door also leaks.... only found that out in the snow.... Also recomment looking on the net, i got my Clio un registered for Ebay.... Import but with full UK Warranty (3 years, 60,000miles) Renault wanted £14.700 and 12 week waiting list.... i paid £9.5k and waited a week for the cheque...

Renault, like all over car manufacturer's live to make huge mark up on Parts.... Ever wondered how much it would cost to buy a 1*2 in a Kit car way.... IE: Buy all the bit and put it together??? Now that would be a very expensive way of buying a car!!
