because he probably has to use his car everyday, and a cup racer would hardly be practical for the road, then you need car and trailer and there high maintenence
my mate who's a mechanic at reno was saying they've had a few 172's that have blew the passenger airbag when they've used exchange driveshafts,i presume its the nearside driveshaft though
Re: RR results for 1*2s
i bet half of these figures arnt corrected and what percentage are people using to get the fly figure, the other thing to remember is just cause a car makes 220bhp with fancy cams etc thats peak power at say 7000rpm its gonna be gutless at say 3000rpm
Re: RR results for 1*2s
matty w,172,inlet&plenhum,airfilter,182 manifold with custom 100cell cat, stainless cat back, group n ecu all work carried out by hillpower 155atw corrected
i agree with mark there some of the figures that are flying around seem way over exagerated, people claiming close to 200bhp with simple mods 30bhp is a lot of power to find from an na engine that doesnt normally make standard power, ive got inlet,plenhum,exhaust,182 manifold,100cell cat,airfilter...
i suppose the head will be the worst design he's ever seen x10,i'm not a ford person but a 2litre that was capable of 700bhp 20years ago doesnt seem that bad
the aux belt is not worth risking leaving till 48k imo as i know nick at hillpower has had 2 in that have failed both in the 30's and both took the cambelt with them, which is gonna leave you with a lot of unwanted costs
