so a little update since I took the car from my brother (may as well keep his progress thread up).
I was furloughed from my work on the 2nd April and have spent a good few hours tinkering and tidying bits up that I wouldn't normally have had time for.
1st was a good machine polish
Clio 182 BG...
For the past couple of days I've had the clio on axle stands to sort my exhaust. I had the front wheels off too to clean the arches etc.
Once I'd sorted the exhaust I fired the car up to make sure the exhaust wasn't blowing and all was fine.
Wheels etc all put back and car back on the ground...
I've just put a decat on the clio. When I removed the cat the sensor was seized in the hole so I unclipped it and left it with the cat.
Is there anyone on here who sells sensors (rather than go to ecp) or would you just plug the port on the decat with an M18 bolt and live with the EML being on...
Kept the top part connected to the plug and cable tied out the way. Cable tied the pipe from the fuel tank out the way to allow it to breath and looped the pipe from the inlet manifold

Removed the front arches to get the field's worth of mud from behind them. Proper recommend everyone to do it if they haven't. Also removed the carbon canister as it was making a funny noise.
Decat to fit once it arrives later in the week

So after a little research I think my Carbon canister is spent.
What does it do and can I unplug it?
The noise is only there on idle and comes back after 10 seconds or so after being revved

I’m fortunate enough to work for a company that supplies blazing equipment so I can get it in a cabinet with some glass bead. I’ll put the results up here

This car now lovingly sold to me at family discount.
Not required on the road until next month so it's in the garage for a full once over with the DA.
I'll continue Harry's legacy to keep it close to OE but upgrade and refine some items when required
Mmm, indeed. Don't think you can see test centers without the V5.
Think I'll go see it and base my opinion on what I see on the day.
Does 5+ owners bother anyone else other than me tho?

Lol, yeah I thought that. It doesn't look in bad fettle but the MOT history made it look like it's had a hard life.
Slight bit of rust round the rear arch but I can look past that

I'm off to view this cup this weekend but the MOT history is putting me off ever so slightly. It's had 5+ owners and only done 75k miles.
I can't understand which the springs are "incomplete" other than the gypsy way of cutting the springs to lower it????
Thoughts and opinions please

I understand this. Not necessarily to see if I've made the cut but no one buys a calender without seeing what pictures are in it. I know I wouldn't.
Even if I haven't made the calender but liked the images I'd buy it. I have seen some great entries this year.
I don't own any of the Springer...
does anyone have or able to get hold of a drawing of a 197/200 roll cage? Either full cage or half cage. I can have them made and powdered way cheaper than they can be bought from anywhere without loosing any strength or quality. If I can get a drawing I might be able to get a group buy going...
