Turbo doesn't need to be boosting, if the shaft bearing seals have gone then it will leak oil into the intake even on idle. Over fuelling on a diesel normally creates a pale blue-ish smoke, not white.
Agree with Dan@SJM tbh, if its pluming white smoke and down on power/spluttering id be checking the turbo, remove the turbo intake pipe and (with the engine off) check for excessive play in the turbine/bearing/shaft. There may be a tiny tiny amount of play which would be normal but it should be...
I like it on mine, sounds better (if you like it loud) don't know about power gains but freed up the revs somewhat. Anything that helps the engine get more air in/out will normally give you some sort of gain, even if its only a small one.
Have you checked the connection on the plug of the antenna/immob ring? The hoop that sits over the ignition barrel that reads the keys code. any sort of contact resistance upsets them. These connections NEED to be dry and clean (don't spray wd40 on them)
Could even be the coil pack at fault if its a genuine misfire, these normally get worse as the engine gets hotter, but not always. Any evidence of oil getting into the sparkplug holes? No4 especially ( cambelt side)....... Dephaser pulley won't help either as if they get so bad they can put the...
In regards to your last problem, a dry/worn outer cv joint will click/knock on full lock and the joint could also be locking up, sort the joints first then road test it to see if it has rectified all of your issues.
The O/S/R shock has a rustly looking colour all over the leg even at the bottom covering the lower mounting bolt, its completely covered like something leaked but more like water has ran down it. I am a mechanic so know my stuff, the residue on the shocker is not oily in the slightest lol, its...
Sorry, it WAS actually snaking lol, the rear end was dancing this morning, to the point where if I didn't back off it would have gone on me, couldn't hold it into the bend, felt horrendous.
Front lights look ok mate, How much are you planning to spend on it? maybe colour code the bumpers and door strips, or as said get the RS kit as its basically a straight fit. Engine cover missing?
Just a quick question regarding my 2005 Clio 182 (with cup suspension). When I am driving on a long road that has a sweeping bend the car feels like it's snaking, the worst I have felt it was today coming off the motorway and onto a long sweeping right hand bend (60-70mph). It wasn't losing...
I do my Cambelt 4 years or 60,000 miles to play safe and aux belt kit every interval, same with my previous cars, always a year or two early and same with the miles.
To be fair to the OP, Honda jazz's are pretty solid, I service many of them on a regular basis and they are very well built and reliable. If I needed a car that was reliable and wanted a Honda, id get a jazz or civic too, they don't look too bad either.
