A coating like GTechniq C4 or Carpro DLUX will certainly help far longer than any wax or sealant. I'm not sure if many waxes or sealants provide a UV barrier,
at least it won't be hard water marks
My car has been covered in dust, and after a quick shower just now the black paint is looking aweful but it can stay like that till the weekend.
All nano / quartz coatings require a perfectly clean base for it to bond, any oils, grease, tar or general dirt and grime will stop the bond and it will not last. This is why IPA and panel wipe are used last just prior to application. But as the coatings can last so long it's best to get them...
Search for GTechniq C5 / Carpro DLUX and other nano quartz coatings.
Put the effort into applying a proper sealant and all you'll need is soapy water to remove all brakedust for the next 2 years.
Has anyone tried BSD on a wet or damp panel yet? I'm still not liking application and occassionally getting smears on my black golf even in cool weather.
I'm in a pretty water area and typically a good QD removes most marks after poor rinsing and drying during sunny periods.
Not used spotless yet, but more than likely get some with my next order now I have a black car
A good QD can remove water spotting, AF Glisten being the best I've ever used but dont think it's available anymore.
CarPro have just released a product for this but it will go some way to removing generic wax and sealants bit not coatings...
The melting steering wheel on a mk3, thought they got past that after the mk2. If it's the same, it isn't proper leather and not much can be done to clean or remedy it.
Have a search for melting steering wheel. Plenty of threads
Most general wax and sealants aren't all that UV resistant. Try and find someone that has a quartz or nano sealant as that is and will also cut down on the road rash type pitting from stones. Only very little would be needed so sure they wouldnt want too much to do it. It'll last a good few...
Loads of reasons
172 was ps, not bhp.
Hardly any, if not all cars dont make book power.
Renaults seem to produce when tested slightly more down on power of what is expected compared to other manufacturers.
It's 12 years old and how many miles? It's going to be producing less than it did...
You sure you got dynax UC and not UB? One is brown, one is clear

I never thought water would be the catalyst in it breaking down considering it's meant to be used with water.
I hated rainx and wanted to use it up so coated the bathroom with it regularly
