This will show how out of touch I am probably...........
Looking at that I would probably go for 2 lots of 4 laps. I wouldn't want to drive 450miles and not get a decent amount of track time.
That's fine tbh. I am happy with just the ring. I am easily pleased:)
The last weekend in May. So I would think leave on the Friday? 25th and have Saturday there, then drive back on the Sunday at a guess.
haha, you are welcome to come Scott:)
Well if we go ahead with the whole Euro trip then I will budget for around £700, that will include fuel, hotels, food, laps etc. If its just the ring then maybe around £400 all in. But obviously it wouldn't be no where near that for you. Just some petrol...
Re: i Sold my rwd escort cosworth 400bhp to get a clio 172 ?? did i do the right thin
I love the Mk1
That picture reminds me I have a pair of Cibie Super Oscars in the garage. Look good on the clio;)
Car is looking good Dan.
My pads when very cold have only squealed very faintly and for only the first stops. Did you put lots of copper slip on the calliper and pads?
Pretty low. Banderson on here is running vmaxx low on 15's and he has swapped his vmaxx dampers on the rear for standard cup packed ones and prefers it. I must say, it rides very well.
I am running Sachs dampers so are stiffer anyway so would hope for them to be fine?
I was going to look at...
WOW! That's even more than mine!
I am thinking of putting coilover rear springs and adjusters on. That way you can settle for the height you want, to match the front.
The only thing that worries me is whether it will mess up the balance and handling?
Can anyone shed any light on this?
They are.
I have cancelled it down to the "UFO" shaped collar that fits on first and up inside the bottom of the top mount. This is not a snug fit. There is wear around the top lip which causes very small movement once located. Both bearings are tight and moveable.
I have the part coming from...
They are bedded in, they are over a year old! lol
Don't want to go into custom springs really, will probably end up putting coilover springs and adjusters on the back so I can match the height of the front.
I will try and get some half decent pics up on Saturday of it.
Nose down is common sense yes as you transport passengers which lower your ride height. Mine is taking the mick, not common sense
If you can stretch your budget a little further, I would personally not buy anything other than Focal components.
Honestly, they are head and shoulders above competitors for the price bracket.
In fact a quick search reveals that they are pretty much the same price, honestly IMHO a no brainer...
I used this http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/paint/specialist-paints/spray_paints/Rust-Oleum-400ml-Stove-and-BBQ-Black-11117617 I wanted satin black but couldn't find any at a decent price so went for this, and after 4 or 5 coats it dries pretty much satin finish, or as those pics^^ really.
Good man:) Can't wait to see it out on track soon.
I have ordered a couple of bits for my ast's so should be fixed and ready for a track day by the end of the week.
I am going to try and do the one at snetterton at the end of this month...........you should too;)
Thanks for that
So it seems that mine sits alittle high at the back anyway then at 610?! Strange. And its not as if they need to settle as they are over a year old.
