Red Lodge gets my vote. Very good technical track, and 1200m. Although their best race format only allows a maximum of 16 drivers, but we shall see how many people sign up to what race we can enter.
I might do a track day during the year but need to get everything setup to how I want it first. Might get the Sachs unpinned so I can adjust them and in terms of the steering feel I hope it is going to be tight as it has new everything basically on the front! Want to get some 15's aswell so I...
It won't go back on the rollers till something is done to the engine. Maybe a set of cams towards the end of the year but we will see.
Well fingers crossed for the weather then! I will try and drop you a PM on the Friday before to see if you are going and will see you up there. Not to drive...
WOW! What an improvement Lewis:)
Good power there. As said much better than your last rr, and I just found out yesterday that my first? lambda sensor is kaput so is running very rich and has been for ages! So my last rolling road graph is pointless too now!
Can't wait to see it on the track...
The Eibachs are progressive springs and are slightly stiffer than the originals but ride well.
Apex springs are stiff and not progressive. Also quite a few people have had them snap.
Buy right, buy once = buy Eibach:)
Great stuff Chris.
Have you got a rough time in your head when you want it done by?
I get my car back tonight from having the camber, tracking and brakes bled. Cannot wait I tell you:o
Looking forward to seeing yours completed too:)
Right, last day off before I go back to work so I thought I would give her a wash.
Awful photos I apologise :o
How its sitting now.
Also found a pic of the damper built up just before it went on.
Easy as peas to fit:approve:
The car will be trailered to Danny @ 519 Automotive on...
Clio pedals aren't the best but there are worst out there!
With the standard sport steering wheel I find it very tight to left foot brake as my knee nearly hits it!
Need a Sabelt Renault Sport one me thinks:o
Mine does exactly the same being a 182. But when the revs are high the throttle response is not too bad, so heel and toe works fine.
Why is the fly by wire throttle so lazy on low rpm?
ECU is on standard map
Even if they do catch, just remove the spacers as I cannot wait to change back to a 205 from a 195. I feel there is quite abit of difference.
I will go back to running Michelin.
Got the rear done today. Nice and easy:)
Rear braided lines on, new discs and bearings, new pads, shot blasted pad carrier and sprayed, sportlines and Sachs dampers and waxoyled the inner arches and rear beam. Sits abit high atm at the back but hoping they will settle after a little while. The...
Re: Diagnosis before I burn the f*cker?
Is that the solenoid engaging and disengaging fast? I had a 206 that did something similar, needed and new starter motor which was the biggest PITA to fit.
Finally I got the arms back today.....at 7:30pm:(
Unfortunately I only had time do fit the calliper, disc, bottom ball joint and arm and a damper, spring and top mount. Also I gave the inner front arches a couple of coats of waxoyl. Once the other side is done and the weight is back on the...
Unfortunately I did not get my bottoms arms back today so progress has been slow and well not much worth talking about tbh.
Cleaned up all of the bolts that came from the car, and a couple of new nuts here and there. Setup a calliper so I could test fit the pads and see how much needs to be...
Shot blasted the callipers today and gave them around 4 coats of heat resistance paint.
After shot blasting.
Now dry from painting.
Quite pleased with the result. Also before painting I removed the pistons and gave them and good clean up and clean the dust seals. Good as new:)
Also...
Been working on it for most of the day and have achieved effectively sweet fa:(
Bottom ball joints did not want to move. (Doesn't help that I haven't got the proper tool!) So I got a bigger hammer......which worked a treat:)
Cleaned the hubs up and gave them a couple of coats of hammerite...
Looks very good Chris.
Looking forward to seeing yours completed.
You forget how "standard" standard suspension is!
Have been working on mine all day. Why does everything take longer than anticipated?:(
I cannot wait Chris!
Come spring time I going to get rid of the toyo t1r's for some Michelin ps3's, also some wheel spacers and a whiteline arb.
Can't wait for spring now:)
