Why is that a regret though? Surely the kit lens has served you well and put you in a position that you now hanker after primes? Which is great!
I see so many people slating kit lenses on tinterweb but rarely (never) see photos that make me think I wish that had been taken with a prime ;)
Always a devisive choice, though I am yet to hear of anyone that has taken the perfect picture which has been ruined by the degradation in image quality that one filter makes ;)
Thanks Dan, It's weird but I took a lot of 'ok' shots in the hours leading up to that pic but in hindsight each different shot added a little to the evolution of that steps picture, even though the proceeding shots were of different subjects.
Problem with 'bokeh' is that it refers to the quality of the out of focus areas and not the amount of out of focus. Good bokeh is usually smooth and creamy, harsh bokeh is usually more.defined and rough looking. A lot of bokeh does depend on how much £££ you spend on the lens, with exceptions of...
What were you looking to achieve with the snail shot? The composition is odd, the cane is out of context in what appears to be a park? Only shot that I can see would be a macro close up of the rings on the snails shell. Otherwise its uninteresting.
I put nearly 300 hours into demons souls :o so this game should be fairly straight forward ;) You are supposed to die a lot, dieing is a core game mechanic. As for the messages its not the game trolling you, they are messages from other players!
Cheers guys a few more I forget to post

That is creamy bokeh Dan, although just to be a pedant, technically this thread should be called out of focus areas, bokeh refers to the quality of the out of focus areas e.g. creamy, harsh

Sorry but going to have to go against the gain here, I see so many people trying to do these water shots and imo none come even remotely close to the 'original' that Harold Edgerton did in 1956. There's a raft of poor 'splash' shots about. It seems to be something that so many people wish to try...
