My local camera shop has a big box of second hand filters they will sell you for 2.50, its a bit hit and miss but I've bagged a few bargains, worth checking your own indie camera shop as when they buy lenses the filters get taken off and are often sold cheaply.
I too would also question the suitability of that camera for the 'travel' applications you say you need it for. Whilst its undoubtedly a great camera for the motor sport/wildlife applications as a travel camera I would want something much smaller. In addition the sensor is far from cutting edge...
Thanks Sam I will try the Right hand side too!

Thats really nice Billy, although perhaps having St Pauls slightly off centre would make for a better composition, love the sky!
Yes I had linked a picture on DPReview that got nearly 400 views in a day and I think people stopped to explore the rest!
I think they all share the same sensor, Olympus looks nicest too me, very old school look! For reference the Sony isn't m4/3 rds its APS-C (like a dslr)
Watch your horizons, very few are straight and watch your compositions the horizon is often slap bang in the middle which doesn't always work well.
The first shot is the best but the rocks in the middle of the frame would have made better foreground interest than the wall on the right-hand...
Nice! Doubt you'll miss the DSLR tbh!
Unless you shoot wildlife or motorsport the reasons to own a dslr over these new mirrorless cameras are becoming less and less!
