I thought the day's of not using a tar remover before claying were long gone now that using clay isn't such a new thing. Hopefully that's an old pic as I've lifted very little when claying after using oblitarate.
A tar remover also removes a lot of organic material such as aphid and tree sap...
Cheers Kev. Have you used any of the other nano wheel sealants yet? Will be looking for more come spring, not sure if to stay with the new GT formula.
Will pull off one of the other wheels next week with more pictures of the grime and how easy it washes off
I clean the outside more often than the inside, but carry a glass cleaner and cloth in the car. As long as the glass is clean keep the outside shining, but for my sake, neighbours and friends think it's a waste of time
Lime prime can be used to remove some minor swirls or marring used with a machine polisher, but a good technique is required with a lot of practice. General working with a polisher will give a better cleanse and worked the fillers in. I loved it via DA to the point I started to give up on...
Carpro eraser is specially made and correctly diluted to be used on paint as another option to IPA.

removes oils, residues etc left from products. Think of panel wipe used in a body shop prior to painting to ensure it's 100% clean
Looks good, always satisfying working on a grubby soft top and seeing the dirt lift off.
If I may add though.... get a belt!! Trousers falling down whilst working over the engine's not a pretty thing :rasp:
last time I used it, 4x 17" wheels used about 10-12ml of a 15ml bottle, both inside and outside faces. 1 applicator per wheel is all that is needed. BUT you will over apply the 1st time you use it, it spreads a lot further than you would think.
I'd always recommend an IPA or panel wipe wipedown...
Hexlogic black, white and green would be a good start. If you find you're not getting enough cut from the green pad then more to orange, but the green pad seems to be quite a flexible and useful pad that I use the most.

If you are new to detailing, get your wash routine sorted first, then look at decontaminating the paint, follow this up with either a cleanser or glaze, followed by a sealant and wax.
Get yourself a wax safe Ph nuetral shampoo, wash mitt and drying towel. tar remover, maybe an iron remover...

99.9% of products can be used on all colours, even the colour charged products. All comes down to personally preference.
standard spray head is fine. just dont spray so much on next time. dont think ive ever used that much on a fukl car that had never been sealed or decontaminated before.
all comes down to user error im afraid
