mki9000 is good if u don't care so much for outgoing calls, voice recognition would infuriate me personally due to it not recognising 100% of the time. better off investing in the mki9200 if going down the parrot route imo. as for stereo i would say the pioneer deh4500 would fit the bill? uses...
075 size battery, rating will be subject to the way you drive, if shorter trips better off with calcium, but if your giving it a good run on a daily basis then an acid battery will do just fine.
that models not too bad (that said i change bulbs in cars on a daily basis ;) ) - driverside with aircon is a bit of a pain, but do-able without bumper off, passenger side and non-aircon should be fairly straight forward
sounds like a faulty usb port, seen this a couple of times, its like it just locks into usb mode, and when theres no usb in it just goes to standy mode.
I presume when u power up/down you can hear the stereo booting up?, also do you still get 3 beeps when key out?
...if so I would presume that...
amp will turn on with any 12v supply, regardless of radio being present, red going into back of radio should be ignition feed - tap onto this. or as mentioned before the blue is for remote, note: some hu's require remote to be turned on in their base settings
Personally cant see it being an issue, would depend on insurer and how hard they want to wriggle depending on cost of repair, would check small print on policy regarding any info. TBH if it is included in policy schedule they will be perfectly in their right to void it. There is no reason to fit...
you should hve a cable similar to this (just a quick scan on google) - http://budgetcaraudio.co.uk/ds-ebay/products/aux-adaptors/CTVRNX001.jpg . There will be accessory slots next to iso plugs, and it will plug in there
Would be a headlight out job to check all seals, then hairdryer and put back together.
As for xenons plese dont put them in relflective lens lights - every other person on the road will hate you for blinding them. Seems your best option imo would be just to buy 1*2 xenon lamps, seeing yours a...
I tried changing a stereo on a renault traffic for a customer which had built in tomtom, radio works but tomtom doesn't. The tomtom relies on factory radio to work. Tried renault/ armour/ connects2 - no leads manufactured to keep tomtom working.
I presume this will be same for all tomtom's...
99% certain it will be water in the ballast, ive heard of some people stripping the light and hairdryer the ballast and it works again, i had same problem and had to get a replacement though - £50 on ebay, unlikely to be a connector, unless you were cleaning under bonnet. 1% says i could be...
is the unit turning on/off, or is the cd just skipping? - if unit on and off would pull it out and make sure all wires are fitted tight into terminals, if cd just get a usb/ipod interface and join us in the 21st century ;)
since i have nothing better to do i looked further into this for you, the 421 is not compatible with ipod (i remember something like this when i used to sell them - as i was honest in telling people :p), the instruction manual section that states about ipod compatible models under the title for...
some jvc and kenwood state compatible, but that is only with leads supplied by them, they look the same as a standard cable but must have some form of different configuration, we had to get a kenwood one for a customer - at a cost of £30iirc, probs cheaper online though -check for small print n...
thanks for links, but as mark means its more the front section (its like a horizontal grill in places), just inquired about all 4, incase someone know of places to get hold of complete sets
Ive had two noises to date with knocking/ ginding, I know yours is front but here's my 2 cents
1. Cracked rear discs - caused by overheating from binding brakes, more of a knocking underbreaking
2. Wheel bearing - like a whiring/grumbly noise, started out quite before a grinding noise - £20 and...
looking good, I used the 3M kit for my last mr2 which was the dogs, but its hard to get hold of in the uk, plastic-x looks like it does the trick tho :)
As per title, wheres the best place to get hold of these? I understand each side has 2 parts to them and will be looking to replace both sides as mines are smashed up/ non existant.
Would cable-tyiing grill sections underneath help?
Cheers
Steven
i retract my last post, upon further investigation the new stereos we have in work do actually support iphone5 - recently changed most over. Generally all 'iphone compatible' units should read the 5, but if you have an older stereo you may need a firmware update from manufacturer
Most likely not, would check the sony website and see if these is a firmware update for cd player. Generally most current usb stereos read analogue audio, and the iphone5 is digital, so you may get a charge but I doubt data/audio transfer. It seems to be common as apple didn't give manufactures...
was for cambelt change/ dephaser and labour from renault specialists - i know it costs more getting work done up here in sunny scotland, but for that job it would be at least £450+ from what Ive seen on here, not what i presume op wants to do after spending £2.8k on the car - but i may be wrong
presume your meaning rca/phono leads - yeah one of them won't work right - even if you reconnect cores they still wont sound right - only like a tenner - just replace
Dab autoleads antenna is amplified runs regardless of analogue aerial for dab frequencies- just get urself another dab antenna, seen amplifies analoges mainly on vw's/audis 2006 onwards, some euro cars use fakras also but generally not amplified, sure Matt (mtaudio) can confirm
check for tapping noise, that mileage is around dephaser noise mileage. although not known to fail its a bit annoying and will cost you in the region of £600-700 to replace, I was unware of this when I bought mine at around the same mileage - if these no reciepts for it then thats why the guy is...
the plug you are questioning is for a cd changer and wont affect powering of unit, there are 3 fuses to check for the radio (1 on radio, 1 ignition supply fue, and 1 constant supply fuse) - multimeter should show 12v on yellow (constant) and 12v on red (ignition, when key is turned)
