I guess most of you have heard but those who don't, Renault have just announced their recall for the Clio, 98 onwards, for the cars using the 'end bell valve' injector system.
Apparently it's reducing performance and economy on some variants and making some people think they are going faster...

I was cruising home nursing some strange noises from my engine after a hard day driving on the Pistonheads meet. Had some Xenons appear behind me matching my pace. Had some moments of overtaking slow traffic, they kept up well. Came off at Eastleigh roundabout. Anyone we know?
Now I realise that some of you may not understand what the subject line may be asking, so I’ll say it straight: Are more modern cars like your 197’s and newer Clio models with safety crap actually hampering your ability to learn how to drive in conditions like snow? I would say yes, probably...
Ok, so I am off to buy me a Williams soon, but one thing I wanted to know early on is:
Do larger wheels (same circumference though) mess up a Willy's handling. I don't want uber wide wheels as that will cause tramlining etc.
Are the standard wheels 6.5 x 15 (think they are). Is 7 x 16 too...
