    An excellent sealant is....?

as above what condition is the paint in? will you be using anything else with it? what do you want the finish to give the LY? best for sheeting I've found is C2, didn't like the look of it on LY myself. Russ rates zaino on LY. If I still had it I'd like to try toughcoat again on LY

    Sealant on RB?

I don't have any experience with the zaino system but I guess typically a sealant will work best onto a clean surface, but with the likes of jett and TC this isn't quite so important. but these also give a little more gloss IMO whereas sealants that require that clean base to perform generally...

    Sealant on RB?

I'm lead believe that AF toughcoat does contain a degree of carnuba in it so may work well but I've mainly used it with silvers. Werkstat carnuba instead of the acrylic jumps to mind

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

If it relates to a recent order then I can't see any harm in it staying in here, as long as people can see what it's relating to. I've not used any of the blackfire range, but what didn't you like about rejuvenate? I've used it primarily by machine and only a few times by hand

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

beading of C1.5 does hold out better than C2 did but they didn't say very uniform for too long, but it is still primarily a sheeter

sounds like t-cut to me. an unknown abrasive formula should be left well alone IMO

Removing scratches which are reasonably deep

if you can feel it, you'll be removing lots of clear coat if not all trying to remove it entirely. best to just go over it and smooth of the edges so it is less noticeable but removing it I would imagine is unlikely

    Shiny, durable tyre shine...?

probably the best looking of the ones I've tried, but durability was worse than AG

    182 rear exhaust hanger, 1 or 2?

From experience the NWP rear mounts lasted less than the OE mounts, so I cut them up and made my own. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?558057-Uprated-modified-exhaust-mounts

    Protecting brand new wheels?

a full on wash, de tar, several hits to de iron with something like iron-x, then an IPA wipedown to ensure no oils or residues are left on the surface. Only then is it worth applying C5,

    Protecting brand new wheels?

easy-ish. BUT unless you prep it correctly you're wasting your money

    Protecting brand new wheels?

15ml is more than enough to do 4 wheels, even when you over apply you'll still have left overs. I can't find it now but it's said C5 withstands higher temperatures than the claimed 300'c temp of brake dust etc

    dodo juice wax purple haze

Get in the detailing sub forum mate, much more info in there. PH is supposed to be one of there better waxes, although not tried it myself. There panel pots will do quite a few layers on a Clio so well worth the money. DJ waxes give nice tight beading and look pretty good after initial...

    An excellent sealant is....?

When I finally get off my a##, I'll bring down some autofinesse lather and toughcoat for you as they should work fine with your SRP. at least then you can see whether it is worth it in your mind to change from EGP

    Recommendations

quite a comprehensive 1st order! doesn't the megs smooth clay kit come with one of there quick detailer sprays? if say save that for using after a general wash to bring back the shine and use the born slippy as clay lube. Other than the ironX and tarX still to come I think you've covered most...

    An excellent sealant is....?

Right, where to start..... A product that beads well means when water touches the panel, ie rain it forms in very tight little balls due to the surface tension created by the wax or sealant. Looks great IMO. when the car is moving or simply 'blowing' at the beads they will move around on the...

Good shampoo that works with EGP....?

Not in my experience, I use the same amount of Gwash as I do lather per bucket to get equal results. BTBM I need to use more to get the same results.

Good shampoo that works with EGP....?

TBH EGP is OK, but there are far more newer products out there that probably offer a improvement in most areas, albeit probably for a marginal increase in cost. eg GTechniq C1.5 and C2, both spray on sealants, apply to glass, paint, plastics etc and buff off. 6months durability and good self...

Best polish and wax combo for rb?

think you need to read the sticky's at the top of the section Polish is an abrasive for removing defects in the paint, therefore not colour specific but depends on type of defects and quality of the paint. Wax is also not so colour specific, more to do with personal taste and what you want or...

    Shiny, durable tyre shine...?

I've never found one to be overly durable, some are still present and turn to a matt cleanish tyre but I always end up topping it up each week to bring back the shine. GTechniq T1 has had the best durability as such but it does as I said above. Due to this I've switched back to the cheap old AG...
