to remove the dust a water rinse and wipe down with QD would be fine. If you're wanting to polish you should be washing it properly

sounds like your referring to G1? if so remove it in sections, use the G2 / 1:3 IPA and wipe down a section and immediately use a MF to remove it before it dries completely.
