Engines are not designed to get wet, they are protected a little to cope with a little spray of the tyres or road, but then the discovered arch liners and undertrays. A bit of spray coming from underneath may be a little different to a pressure aimed directly.from close range. I struggle to see...

Always start with the least aggressive combo and work up if you're not getting the desired results, the majority of times when starting out it comes down to technique but you'll pick that up with more practise. One of the reason why I think starting off with a pre wax cleanser or glaze...
What have you got so far?
Using a pre wax cleanser like dodo juice lime prime or AF rejuvenate will work wonders without using a real abrasive against the paint. Using a cleaner glaze like amigo and blackmax is another way of achieving a beautiful finish with machine. Use these with a...
revive is another great product, but I'd consider trying to find it 2nd hand as you will use very little but I guess a small bottle is pretty cheap anyway
tripple is an all in one so contains a very mild abrasive so that will do a good job at removing waxes and glazes such as your blackhole, so use tripple before blackhole.
It also contains its own fillers like a glaze such as blackhole so will go some way to filling minor swirls. I personally...
I've done 2x full cars including 3 layers on the screens and I still have probably enough of my G1/G2 kit to do another 1 1/2 cars.
For ease of use and performance it is hard to rule out G5 (new G3)
You hold it against a spinning pad and it gently removes the dried out polish residue without damaging the pad. Comes in very handy when you're polishing for some time
Depends on the level of correction your friend is able to achieve? Do you need any filing products?
With regards to your LSP, do you prefer wax or sealants? What's your budget
I did think about the AF combo but couldn't justify the cost unless he was going to get into it properly which is why I asked about your discount of ag gear. Plus depending on the level of oxidation SRP by machine would prove better than tripple. Tripple has to be worked pretty hard by hand to...
How cheap can you get AG stuff? and as you say you've played with a machine polisher, do you still have access to it?
First off you need to strip of any contamination or growth. a All Purpose Cleaner or degreaser spray sounds like your best bet both before and after washing will help. then look...
Are you referring to the i4d yellow poly clay? if so I thought it was awful and removed very little, even when I tried it without using tardis and ironx.
AF clay is OK but can feel a little sticky at times, certainly picks up a lot of rubbish
clean as normal but as said a good degreaser will be essential for around hinges / locks etc.
then use a spray sealant to give it a quick seal, tough coat again would come in useful.
I can blame you as I wanted the Glasur for myself! I'm still looking out for a sample or used pot
Tripple does have a little protection properties so will hold off a little on it's own, but as you've bought Tough coat, give it a quick coat, will only take you 5minutes to do a while car then...
as I know how much we all like a bit of good beading, I came home this evening to see local showers had left there remains on the bonnet. As said carbon on the left side of the bonnet, Titanium on the right.
Carbon:
Titanium
Nothing to tell between beading or sheeting so far
my interpretation of gassing is where the oils / solvents in a wax dry and cure at different rates leaving a patchy haze in areas that require a 2nd buff.
Pictures came out awful in the poor light so so I didn't bother, plus it was very hard to tell any difference between the two on camera...
I thought it was about time to really test the performance of these two as I've only really played with them since receiving my holiday sampler kit. So both front wings and bonnet were stripped back and a 50/50 test started yesterday.
The car is a 08 ocean blue Focus that we've owned almost...
saw something like this happen with someone I know and it went 50/50. even though the woman in the left lane was turning right, the insurances claimed that the driver in the right / inside lane should have checked to the left to ensure the exit was clear before leaving the roundabout. Police...
for your first few attempts you're never going to get rid of all the swirls, and chasing 100% correction is a big goal to set yourself. I've never managed more than 80% on a panel
depending on how bad they are maybe invest in a glaze or a filler heavy pre wax cleanser that should help hide them...
I considered the spin doctor when I went for the EP800 but I was happy with the price so thought I'd give it a go. If I don't get on with it I'll throw it up for sale again. I was after another 5" backing plate so quite happy with the SN item.
there is something with the layout of the EP like...
