The last 172s had cruise control too, so it aint new...
Power is gained from exhaust, cat & inlet apprently, with torque being the same, but peaks slightly lower.

Well, a few people on here have got this "sticking in gear" problem and its down to a number of things...
In your case most likely due to it being so new & tight!
When my box needed replacing gearchange was perfect, but it was whining in 1st gear and that was a syncromesh fault...
They are just figures mate... in reality all cars differ, as do the drivers...
For example, my Cup has run the 1/4 mile in 14.5secs @ 94mph, so my 0-100 time is not gonna take a lot longer and certainly way quicker than the 17.7secs time I gave above!
Then people like TimO & chris n nic...
The mk1 V6 vs Cup is a close call as Ive been there and done that... ;)
The mk2 is quicker and handles better than the mk1, so Id not be as confident!
As for the other cars >>>
Impreza WRX (new):
0-100 - 16.9secs (but Evo timed one as 18.3secs)
Mini Cooper S:
0-100...
Yup...
Mk1 V6:
0-100 - 17.0secs
Mk2 V6:
0-100 - 15.8secs
To compare...
Mk1 172:
0-100 - 18.2secs
Mk2 172:
0-100 - 18.9secs
Cup 172:
0-100 - 17.7secs
Problem is, the V6s do not feel as fast as they actually are!
Yeah mate, this mk2 V6 is owned by my mate Dave that works at Kitchens.
That mk1 in Kelbrooks is actually the one Dave had from new, but its been well and truly used (& abused) so by all means have a drive in it, but dont buy it...
If you really do decide you want a mk1 V6 then I can speak...
Honestly... NO!
Ive driven the mk1 V6, I am currently driving a mk2 V6 (my Cup is in being sorted), also driven the mk1 172 (with track experience), the mk2 172 and the Cup, which I own, so I have got experience with all the recent sporty Clios and IMO the V6 is not leagues ahead of its...
Youll have to be very quick then mate...
It has to be back by 6:00pm tonight, so unless you can get over to where I work (between Blackburn & Preston) for about 5:00pm then it aint gonna happen!
Honestly...
Its a great car, looks fantastic, sounds amazing and Ive never had as many people staring at me and moving over ever, but does not "feel" as fast as a Cup or 172 and for that price theres a lot of other stuff Id rather have.
Well, it was obviously gonna be a Renault... ;)
This is what Ive currently got >>>
