There was a 172 at the Bolton meet last night with the Eibachs and he was parked next to me...
Not a lot lower, but noticable, particularly at the front and looks "right" to me, not too low.
He says the handling is great now, so if I were to get springs, thats what Id go for.
Go for Toyos mate...
I had these on my 306 Rallye and although they aint quite as good as the Bridgestone S-02s they replaced, they were still bl00dy good and cost half as much. They also lasted longer!
When the Contis go on my Cup Ill be getting Toyos for this!
Dont think so...
Nick gave me a price for a silicone induction hose recently and its more expensive on the list, so Id say they are the "normal" prices before discount!
Not had time yet mate... I was busy last night, then it was too dark for pics!
You going to this meet in Bolton on Wednesday night?! If so, we can meet up & go over, then you can see how its fitted yourself...
Well, Hill Power have tested the fuelling and its ok apparently...
They had a Cup in with a Viper and there was no problem with it running lean on the top end, then they fitted an R-Sport ECU and re-tested. This increased fuelling to give more grunt.
I changed the speakers in mine (JBL 526es) and they were better than the standard sh!te, but the head unit was not making the most of them.
Ended upo ditching the standard CD player too and fitting a good Kenwood Mask HU & CD changer, which now sounds a LOT better than the factory fit head...
You have to use progressively finer abrasive papers to get the surface smooth and remove the rough cast effect on the metal, then use a polishing wheel and compound to buff up to a nice shine.
Ive done it in the past on my old 106 GTi and it worked very well...
Youll probably be ok...
Go in and speak to Neil (service mananger) and explain what you want to do, just tell the youre getting it lowered and fitting a sports exhaust, they should be cool with that.
A de-cat is probably a no no!
Im also with Privilege and theyre cool with mods, so just...
Its not for cleaning it, thats "dirt retention spray" apparently, you are meant to give the filter element a quick coat of it before you fitted it...
Just pull the cold air feed of the front end and coat the foam on that side with the spray. Dont do the foam at the inlet side.
