    sounds like the voice coil could be hitting the back plate(give the same sound as you describe) which means it's F.U.B.E.R and you need a new one

    it's the parcel shelf. put tunes on so you can hear the rattle then place hand on shelf it took me about 10 mins of ear spliting sine waves to find it

    nope they are legal as they are retro fitted(auto level and wash needed if factory fitted) i'd like some like that but as white as they can get them

    nah i had exactly the same problem with the belt squealing with the system on. as energy cannot be created or destroyed it must be harder to turn the alt at full load

    no the bolts are on the casing of the alt not on any cogs/pullies

    there is a bolt on top iirc thats allows for adjustment then there is one or two underneath

    you only need to loosen a couple of bolts on the alt to tighten it i had the same problem on my mk1 but i replaced the belt at the same time too

    don't under stand what you are getting at here??? cos it sounds like you will load the hu channel with two(2) ohms which is never a good idea

    mines down about 50 mm and had four people in the back and about 40kgs of ice and it didn't rub but if i go quickly into a roundabout i do get rubbing on the front with 17's
