the alpine 4x60w units only do about 23wRMS whick isnt really enough to blow the standard speakers
(if you turn it up so it starts to clip then you will blow something)

not a bulb its a surface mount led
yeah i cut the strip off the bottom of the slated part then glued and screwed it to the base piece.
you have to fix a guide to the piece of wood to follow with whatever tool you use
