the dials on a 2005 might need more/less leds but i guess the princple is the same

thinking exactly the same
hmmm well the same leds light up both the dial and te needles together.
so if you use blue leds and the orange of the needles you may get a sh*tty brown colour needles
yeah ive got mike172sport to thank for the white needles:D
you might be able to sand off the orange off the back of the needles with some fine grade wet and dry(1200 grit)
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jonathan.thomas4/pics/1107526382__4.jpgthese are where the leds are placed on the circuit...
there are loads of different surface mount leds you need one that are PLCC-2 standard.
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jonathan.thomas4/pics/1107969585__white.jpgthis is what they look like all together
im not sure if maplins sell them.
i got mine from http://www.rapidelectronics.co.uk/rkmain.asp?PAGEID=80010&CTL_CAT_CODE=30316&STK_PROD_CODE=M29417&XPAGENO=2here
