 so are you saying he should get a more/less powerful amp??
1200w peak usually = 600w max = 300w RMS.
i picked a 400w amp so you would not need to push it into clipping to get any sound out of the sub

that is really bad cos they dont give the RMS power of that sub on the kenwood web site.
most of the time when they use peak power you can divide it by 4 to get the RMS power.
so you could get a 2ch amp that can be bridged to give about 400w RMS, or get a mono amp that can do 400w RMS into...
do not get rid of your 9815:o
they are great!!!!!!! i doesnt really put that much strain on the batt.
i would check to make sure there is enough room around the fan on the back to keep the unit
my air con smells after i turn it of (cos i only got cheapo air con not c.c)
im sure some said that there is a dealer fix that can be done to the ventilation intake under the windscreen???

you need two of these to stick one in either side
then you have to push out wards and pull the h/u out
[Edited by Dink16v on 05 September 2004 at 6:09pm]
its a special tool for removing oem head units
its like two u shaped tools you stick in either side and pull out. should be about £2 from motorwold or some where like that
yeah i think you just need the standad removal tools to get out (the two hole either side)
i would think that a 300w inverter would be able to run a lcd screen and a ps2
i think you would have to remove the h/u to fit the fm modulator (not worth getting a audio place to fit it)
yes you can plug a double plug into the inverter but just make sure you dont overload the inverter
yeah some of them were a bit under powered (probably not in real life)
the digital designs one was sweet with its clip indicator but sadly it was designed to run a 1 ohm. which would probably give it a low power output a 2 ohms.
one other question, would it be mad to put this power into a...
yeah im going to get a new one
ive never had a problem with alpine amps so what about http://www.cel-direct.com/detail.asp?ProductID=3585this
(its only running two infinitys so the sq doesnt need to be perfect)
