I thought the the superchip for the 172s was an ECU remap done on a rolling road, which means it would be setup to your car and would take advantage of whatever mods you had. I beleive Roamer had this done.
Yeah, Ive given a ST170 a good roasting a while back. Rolling start at traffic lights to go onto a dual carriage way. Booted in 2nd, and pulled several car lengths by 80mph. Slowed down for a round about and did well to keep up until I booted it on exit.

Dont beleive everything Renault say. There is a good chance that production of the Cup will be extended especially if its selling well. Plus with the chance of increasing profit margins with options why wouldnt they. They did the same with the Williams.

I found that from behind the wheel, the light seems yellowish than white. Get out of the car and stand in front of the car, then its bluey white. Put the main beams on and you can definitely see the difference.

Ive raced my Raliegh Chopper against my mates Raleigh Boxer. I won thanks to my selection of 3 speed gears against his 1 speed, and I had bigger wheels for a higher topend!
I think Topgear tested FRP, ITR and C172. On the road not a lot in it. On the track C172 beats the ITR by about 0.5 of a second but the FRP lapped about 2 seconds faster!! They hardly had to back off for a corner.

Do that diagnostic test where you hold the column stork in when you turn the electrics on, press the speedometer reset button and it should tell you how many litres of fuel you have left.
Perhaps it feels faster because there is less sound insulation. The cup isnt massively faster and would not completely open a can of whoop ass on a normal 172. Virtually the same car and same engine. Ok, Cup owners out there may well say I would say that cos I have a 172 and its a case of...
