Good luck. I’m sure you will get to the bottom of it and at least you will know It’s been fixed properly.
Absolutely shocking from SV Imports to describe the car as mint and one of the best he has seen.
Personally I’d try a local auto electrician first with the thought process being, it doesnt need to be a Renault Sport specialist to fix the electrics as I’m sure they are exactly the same as all other Clios (and cars in general) and that a local guy will probably be cheaper and dare I say it...
I think you should stick with it too, like others have suggested, get it into an Auto electricIan who would probably resolve the issue easily as I’m sure, in the grand scheme of things, a Clio is a super simple car.
I’ll bet it won’t cost much either.
What rubs me up the wrong way was the way the dealer was describing the car on FB. Then for the owner to almost immediately run into what sounds like fairly serious issues, that would leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Did the car come with any kind of warranty? I’d be getting back onto the guy you bought it off. He was certainly talking the car up a lot on his FB page when it was for sale wasn’t he.
Yip, sounds like a Clio!
When I bought my Cup, it had an induction kit similar to what you have and thankfully the original airbox was in the boot. I’ve put the Airbox back on and sold the induction kit.
If i was to go for an induction kit again, it would definitely be a KTec. My brother has...
Good luck finding a Cup drivers seat in Good condition. I found it very difficult but eventually got something that is ok.
I had so many people contact me saying they had mint seats for sale, all I can say is not everyone’s version of mint is the same.
I like the idea of having an...
I considered a 197 before I bought my 172 Cup. I suppose a 197 is a bit of a different ownership proposition with it being a newer car.
I really like the 197 shape but was slightly put off by what I had read was a slightly dull driving experience when compared with a 1*2.
I do realise you are...
Looks awesome.
I think the first place to check for water leaking into the spare wheel well is the back lights. Make sure they are as tight as you can get them with your hands
I think people get wrapped up in CCs marketing and nice pictures but when, when they turn up to actually buy the car, it’s a rusty Clio they are buying and reality kicks in.
CC get their £600 quid fee regardless.
In my experience Facebook is the place where you will see the most cars for sale...
Welcome Mark.
I hope you find a nice car that suits your needs.
The 182 in your first thread is a bit of a marked car in my opinion. It sold on CC a few months ago for around 4K from memory but it seems the sale fell through when the buyer turned up to pick the car up.
The car has some...
if all it needs is the wheel retrimmed and the grill sorted then happy days ! I’d definitely try GTechniq C4 on the grill as it can work wonders on faded plastic.
I eventually found a Cup which needs a bit of work to get it back into a presentable condition. Needless to say it’s costing about...
Was the car priced at £3500 ? If so and there are no surprises when you pick the car up like bubbling back arches etc then you definitely got a bargain in my opinion.
I was looking for a 182 or 172 Cup over the last few months with a 4K budget and thought I’d have plenty of cars to choose...
