I have fitted one today. Seems good quality but the top rad supports don’t fit the new rad as the new rad is a bit thicker, pretty dissatisfied as it states that it is a direct replacement.

Anyone?

Hi guys! happy new year and all that! I wonder if its possible to adjust the idle on my Ph1 172 as when hot it idles at 750 rpm and below and its causing the oil light to flicker on in extreme cases I think its supposed to idle at 850 rpm +? Can this be adjusted back up? Cheers

Cheers Mike. Yeah I thought about starting with the basics but I assumed that one of the rear callers being only months old and the fact that the brakes were fine before the work on them that I would be looking at something out of the ordinary ?

Ii had it done and was well worth the money. Clears windows so much faster as the AC drys the air.

well the CTS didnt fix my problem! Gutted! Code reader next I think! Take it you dont have to rest ther ECU so the new sensor? Its hould be plug and play right?

I have the sensor removed from the thermostat houing now and its a Magneti marelli sensor part number 402 114 02 on the reverse has the numbers PA66GF 13 and the numbers 7700113867 incase anyone needs these for future reference :)

magic cheers mate. Just ordered the sensor from renault as the EML is now on and the car is in limp home mode.

Russ, its the other way round....very very slight miss when cold and perfect running when hot. Doubt dodgy plug or lead would prevent it from starting when hot? Dan...there looks like 3 wires going onto the sensor im looking at? which one is the CTS? Im looking at gear box side at the back...

hey guys! My mk1 172 has gradually developed a running and starting issue. Starts perfectly from cold but then runs with slight miss fire until warm and has intermittent hot start problems. Would I be correct in guessing that the cause of this is faulty engine coolant temp sensor? If not...

All sorted now! cheers for the help guys! Dash was fairly easy to remove as was air bag. I managed to get dash top off without removing A pillar covers. I disconnected alarm and its all good :) :clap::clap::clap:

i have all the torx out but it seems to be bonded to the A pillar covers?
