Nightmare isnt it! I think all Cup owners worry about this. Im not even sure a seat cover would help as it would probably still rub the material of the seat.
Minor modification done today. Always fancied a KTEC Induction kit as my Brother has one on his 182 and it sounds ace. They are fairly pricey new but when @Coops Mk1 put his lightly used one up for sale, I snapped it up.
Also see to have resolved the random cold start issues. The car started...
I think you simply have to go a see these cars in person. If I were you I'd try and go and see as many cars as you can over the course of a weekend etc.
Old cars arent airtight at all, especially Clios in my experience so they are affected by the changes in temperature like we see in the winter months.
Like you, I spent a long time chasing leaks and making sure my car is bone dry inside. When you start lifting carpets and inspecting seals...
Are you sure the Coolant was replaced only 10k miles ago? It does look minging to be fair mate.
I was criticizing you (too much) mate :) . I think that asking top dollar for any car is going to attract such comments. Yip, the fact that the colour f the coolant is the only thing people are...
Looks like a very nice example. If its rust free in all the usual problem areas then its worth over £5000 as a starting point in my opinion. Calling @Joejordan
My experience with a KTEC induction kit and Scorpion exhaust is that the induction kit is silent unless you are accelerating hard. Under normal driving it cannot be heard.
This car is an outlier in terms of overall value for Clios due to the mileage. The fact it has been stored for so long would mean it would be fine as an ornament ( but you would arguably want a Trophy for that ) but if you were planning on driving it, you could well have a big bill to get it...
There will be more informed people on here than me who can confirm but I think you have to take the car to someone that has Clip and has plenty of experience with it. Otherwise they are just making educated guesses.
Im pretty sure if there is a repeatable issue, Clip would be throwing something...
My point is these guys already have the 911s, Cosworths and CSLs etc. A nice Clio is just one of many to them. As long as these cars are going up in value, even marginally, these guys are happy to just let the cars sit in the garage
I think it’s all relative though mate. 23k to some people is pocket change. They read a magazine article which declares the Trophy as the best modern hot hatch etc and they go straight out and buy one.
They dont want to get involved in cars with 80k plus miles on them that begin at 13k so they...
Wiggle the white plug of death in the main fuse box ?
Infact, ignore me. If the car is turning over then I doubt it’s that. Like Jon says, crank sensor is a likely culprit
