Id be interested to see what an insurance company says about these prices. If you wrote your car off, is this the amount your Insurer will give you for the car? Im sure when I was insuring my 172 Cup the agreed value was something like £800!

That information certainly raises a lot of questions to the cars originality which is so very key when that asking price is so high.

Yes, they arent cheap but if you are going for originality then they are a must in my opinion. Someone who is handier than me would be able to reproduce these at a fraction of the cost I reckon. There probably isnt much demand for them though.

Yeah, it does doesn't it. It never sits constant at 1500 revs but the fact that the revs flare at all makes me think it could be related. I reckon ill just need to wait and see if it gets worse. Dealing with an issue that I cant replicate at will is always difficult!
