Ok just to back track a little bit!!
the stock speakers in the clio are by blaupunkt, which is actually a very good audio brand!
if you want to make a proper differece, and do the car audio thing properly,
start by taking out the skeaers and lining the surrounding metal with dynamat, the...
why not just save for a bit longer and get some raceland coilovers, theyre only about 160 and theyre alright for the money you spend!!
then you can go for the exact height you like!!
how hard have you tried push it on, perhaps you had it out of line the first time, pushed to hard and have damaged the shaft a bit,
perhaps grind the edge of the shaft down if this was the case!
haha this forum is so odd,
the members that never ever ever go over 30mph, or 4000rpm
other threads will be full of people saying their cars see the limiter at least twice a week.
give a car the beans wont do it any harm providing its looked after, my F7R is nearly on 100,000 and is well...
5 minutes checking the car before hand would have revealled a broken rear spring!!
go to a breakers, all the mk2 (sport/non-sport) rear springs are the same fit, (im unsure if the poundage is much different)
itll get you through the MOT and you can sort out getting the correct springs at a...
climb into the back and use a tx15 torx bit to take the boot plastic off,
then there should be a vertical 2mm bar running from the boot button to the push the bar down as far as you can, and t he catch should pop!!
then change the solenoid!
sounds exaclty like mine, cooked starter motor is starting stick.
itll do a really lazy turn over, or just click,
then second or third attempt, itll crank normally and start.
This place is over run by the essex crew!!
im from southend, spend most of my weekend around the thurrock/Beckton area!!
ill also be going north weald sunday!! but i have no way of getting my car there,
so look for me in a black fiesta 1.25, with bright blue wheels/seat leon/matt black 172...
ive never had an exhaust complaint in my life!!
my close neighbours love me since i do little jobs to their cars that they would otherwise get bent over by a garage for,
and i come home at around 3am most weekends, luckily i live on a hill and just roll all the way down and into my drive.
if...
unless you can source the parts cheap, then dont bother!!
if you can find a clio thats had the rear end mangled for £500,
then full steam ahead!! flog the kit, get some money back and you could almost do it for free!!
In theory
cheapest you could do it for would to be buy and engine, loom...
if youre going for the fun factor, id say the ph1 172 is by far the most fun,
plus they can be picked up for very little,
of course they may need some more attention but they are exactly the same engine bar a few bits.
also, what kind of route do you want to go down?? buckets, rollcage and...
i <3 My 3/4 plate!! and will continue to run it!!
It does annoy me how petty the police can be in some situations. Because i drove a modified car, i got a full tooth comb inspection. they served a PG9 and were going to get a low loader to take the car away, all because my horn didnt work...
pedal set up??
what do you mean by this?? im not sure if changing the pedal box with provide any improvments?!
in theory it will all fit fine, but youll need to make sure both are cable throttle or both are digital throttle.
im not to sure what clutch cable you will have to use either!
its a very gray area tbh,
because technically, its not illegal to have a decat pipe fittied.
if the car for some mysterious reason still passes the emissions test with a decat, it's legal!! therefore without a vosa vehicle to test the emissions, its hard for them to say its not legal!!
but...
I looked once, saw the "cruisersUK" sticker and had to take a double take at your avatar to see if it said "Essex" LOL
looks good dude, i love the colour,
not sure the lights are to my taste but you seem to be pulling it off!!
yes they were looking all over the car, if they found any illegal modifications, or found a reason to deem the car unroad worthy, they were taking cars,
we were told they they had already taken 2 car transporters full before we got there, and another loaded up and left while we were there...
Well i think you had a better night than me!! haha
i was dirving down the a13 when all of a sudden i had a bike infront and behind me!! when i got to a set of lights one leaned over and said "follow me" so i did, and was escorted for around 10 minutes to the large office building just after...
Police had basically set up a massive checkpoint and they were going over cars witha fine tooth comb, and taking them away if they wernt deemed to be legal!!
