Very interested to hear some details about your cams TDF. Ive just given birth to an F4R ITB'd mk1 clio, its got some pace on it to be fair, but cams would finish it off beautifully :)
Get a Payen HG kit from a factors, good quality and cheaper than Ktec.
EBC Greenstuff are pants, spending the money youd save on the HG kit on a set of CL RC5+ pads, you wont look back.
Deistributor cap, thats pretty expensive, i expect a GSF item will be just as good.
Leads are fine, but...
I bought a 172 with a blown engine, that is the camshaft that came out of it, the lobe has been pushed around 180 degrees. The only actual damage was 1 bent valve though.
Just rebuilding it all now, with the addition of a new camshaft obviously :)
You didnt replace the valves by the looks of things, chances are they are now leaking even if they look fine. If you did replace the valves then ignore :D
Youve ruled out injectors, spark plugs, HT leads, and the coil pack. By the process of ilimination it must be mechanical and therefore expensive to fix :(
Whip the coil pack loom plug off. Crank the car over, does the cranking sound irregular?
Do not even waste your time fixing it unless it is reballed properly by someone.
Trust me i have modified and had experience with hundreds of the shitty made consoles, xlcamping improved fans e.t.c will buy you about a week before its up the spout again.
Bum rape you?
I know someone who didnt declare a v6 conversion in his 205, then proceeded to break down on the motorway, who then proceeded to get ass raped by the police when the pulled over to esee what was happening and relised he wasnt covered for the conversion.
Lol nope thats definately not him, he lives in Yate has a tidy Williams 1 and Williams 2 (of which ive spent far too much time underneath fixing the c***ing thing). Used to work with him, he used to be the owner of a large cruise website (swcruise), i would expect the OP to know of him :P
Your going to need to do some more diagnosing, does the engine sound consistent on cranking? (unplug coil pack and crank the engine for a bit), if the engine has physically dropped compression in a cylinder you will hear uneven cranking.
Other than that check plugs and leads.
I would be...
take the injector plugs off, put a small bulbs across the 2 pins and crank the engine over, to check that they all pulse. like this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIVOvgYC_4A
Mate i wouldnt even want to attempt it messing around with VEMS is scary lol. I sold it in the end and bought a Canems ECU from 519autmotive, which is performing faultlessly.
