Im just putting the data into Excel now. According to these graphs, I have 14bhp at the wheels more at 2000rpm that I did last time. What a load of b****cks. It was warmer today than last time, so its not that, and theres absolutely no way an inlet manifold is going to give...

Well, not quite, but Rich-Ds mates 200SX appears to be a bit of a beast. 210bhp at the wheels on low boost, pretty much unable to get a reading on high boost as it went...
Rich didnt run, but his Viper did. In short - it works.
Smooths out the torque accross the rev range, gives a bit of extra power through the revs, and finally, gave 1bhp top end! Before and after graphs to follow...
Erm....the seat is definitely not "supposed" to rattle. Probably going back, plonking your keys on the counter and briefly mentioning Trading Standards might do the trick. Also ask to speak to the manager.
PM Paul16v. I think he just changed his the other day and said it wasnt that hard. Im sure hell be abe to provide some handy hints, and he managed it without a press...
Good price for a second hand one and yes, they do appear to be good. Were going to experiment at a rolling road on Saturday, so will have more details then, but it seems to give a good smooth spread of torque and increased peak power. And you can still have a group N ecu with the Viper...!
My problem is specifically with the Sheffield branch. Dont get me wrong, theyre dead friendly, and always happy to correct their mistakes, its just that they seem to make a lot of mistakes and then they make more trying to put the original one right!
Devil do a de-cat pipe for the mk1 which will work with a mk2. A decat alone will (in my experience) improve your bhp and torque mid-range, but with the stnadard exhaust, wont do much to improve your peak power. Install a mk1 decat pipe and then do as Roamer says and disconnect the second...
They can be a bit dozy. In the past Ive bought the following from them:
98>01 twin optic headlamps - took 2 weeks to arrive only to find theyd got one twin and one single
Pug 205 GTi vented discs - sold me non-vented discs. Rectified error by ordering me some....more non-vented discs...
Check out carsurvey.org. There are a couple of reviews on there mentioning 240,000 miles out of a Williams, with the engine finally being killed by a broken cam belt.
I think the mk2 172 is 6.9 to 60, 7.2 to 62 (not that it makes a big difference really!).
So thatd make the 182 about 6.9 to 60. Its only an extra 10bhp, torque appears to be remaining unchanged at 200nm.
Not keen on that spoiler to be honest. Its not like you need that much downforce on the back of a FWD 1.2! Suppose you could use it to push the car if it breaks down. Nice wheels though.
Ive had a mk1 and mk2 172 now. I prefer the looks of the mk1, but liked the interior and handling of the mk2 172 better.
Decent examples of MK1 and MK2 172s are pretty much identically matched in terms of performance.
