Hi mate, tried pming you but your inbox is full Ive got a 172 starter motor, has been on car for 2 mins, turned out engine was seized and nothing to do with the starter motor lol. After £35 for it as is new :)

if anyone needs one I have one which has done hardly any mileage. my car had a complete new head, belt kit and dephaser pulley. spun a bearing and fooked the bottom end. I bought a complete engine so have all the top end spare.

boo, was only 7 quid to be fair with a new blade so no big deal I know the old keys could be re coded to work with any car. wont it even work to do the central locking even?

can i get the second hand key synched to the car too?

done a search and found quite a bit out. But not sure if mines same prob. Key unlocks and starts car but remote central locking isnt working, light not flashing on it, even when fitting a new battery. I've bought a second hand key which is in working order I think as the light is flashing...

you prob wont do unless kerb em mate. I had some compomotives on my old evo and they were powder coated from new, its hard as hell compared with paint :)

i wouldnt bother mate, powder coatings tough and will look fine as they are :)

i wouldnt bother. the whole point of having them matt black is so they arent shiney isnt it. if you want them glossy go for a gloss or satin black power coating.

ah thought yours was a phase 1. i know you cant use the phase 2 on a phase 1 as no speedo drive. I'm not sure about the other way round. Someone should be able to clarify though. Yeh get it checked first, its prob the circlip, which can be replaced, but when they go once, they tend to go again.
