there was only 1 initial pop/back now it just sits at 3k it does rev above this if i blip the throttle though

Ok ive just gone to start my 182, there was a loud metalic bang and it failed to start so i turned it over again and now its just constantly revving at 3000rpm what has just happened what could this be???

This sounds like the problem i have with my 182. I have also taken a Renault tech out to show him what i mean. There is this round about in particular which i am garanteed to get the judder/clunking through the steering.

Its a non cupped 182. I feel from what ive read about the Eibach pros that these are the ones for me small drop but improved handling etc......

Ive recently fitted an ITG panel filter which did improve things slightly. But more recently ive had fitted the Magnex cat back system, slash cut.......
To me its the perfect exhaust note, it really is not that loud but does really improve throttle response!

Sound wise mate at low revs its quite boomy but nice, not loud at all really! When i floor it the boomyness goes and it has a kind of a tinny roar if that makes sense?!?

What brackets did you bend? If those exhaust mounts wasnt so flimsy it wouldnt move about as much as it does im sure, it looks like nothing can be adjusted???

Right it is a Magnex cat back slash cut version. Which i had fitted today by a good company (or maybe not!!!).
Looking at it the left pipe sits slightly off to the right so when the car is idling or as i pull away it is catching the bumper causing this horrid and quite honestly unacceptable...
This is the problem I had with mine my car is an 04 reg. I booked mine to Renault in Dartford they fixed the top right mount by re-aligning it and greasing it.
They sorted out the engine mount underneath the battery also which apparently is a common prob for 172/182 they adjusted that, said...

If then, say you choose a panel filter for the 172/182 could you reposition or replace/reposition its original cold air feed to achieve better airflow?
How easy would this be to do?
Would you be able to get an after market air feed to fit the original box??
