I sold my Cup and then bought a Valver. The Cup is definately quicker and I did love it; but the valver was a lot of fun!!
(ps - the valver has just been listed on ebay if anyone is interested ;)...
Still considering all of the above. He has now thrown into the equation that I could have a car allowance instead so I could get myself a second hand DC5 but I don't fancy all the running costs... (and he's not sure how much allowance I can have!)
I think I'll just run around in the Mini...
DC5 Integra - you read my mind!
The only trouble is, none of the contract hire companies websites I have been on quote a price for it online and its down to me to source it...
The car will mostly be used for advertising as I will have a big logo down the side so it will spend a lot of time...
Wow! I've just been offered a new job and part of the package is any company car I like. For tax reasons I'm going to keep myself sensible but dont know what to consider...
Should I try and get a 182 Trophy (are they still available - especially on contract hire?)?
Or a Megane 225
Or...
The exclusive also had a cd headunit as well as a 6 cd changer. The alloys were BBS, the green was mingy, it had greyish leather interior and there were defo only 172 made.
I can't fault their service - just their sales methods!
I did originally take the car to a friendly local mechanic but he suggested I take it to Renault to find out exactly whats wrong and then let him fix it!
My lovely (but broken) valver is up at Bridges Renault stealer in Cirencester at the moment whilst they try and work out exactly how buggered it is.
I took it up there with a flat battery which I didn't think would matter but got a phone call from the service desk saying they were going to...
I'm not even going to get into a debate with you bunch of Nazi's. Read Pistol Pete's post again. He wants to return to 'WHITE BRITAIN'...
I'd rather let in a load of immigrants if it means we can get rid of ignorant f*****s in return...
Off Topic but WTF!! Have you ever thought it might be narrowminded violent f*****s like you that cause the problems?
Northy - the car was looking sweet when we were down at Sparkford. Hope it turns up in one piece :(
I always stop myself posting negative comments because its harsh to be mean about someones car who has put a lot of thought, time and money into it...
BUT,
It doesnt look like you have! It appears that youve just bought every available piece of stick on rubbish that you could find in your...
Ive owned a Cup and currently own a Valver. The differences are prominent and so it really depends on what youre after.
If you want a more usable car that you could lend to your girlfriend or just hop in, turn the key and go for a rag then get a 172/182. If you want a full driving experience...
Is this photo taken in Henley?? I think I recognise the office of a company I used to work for!

The Astra Ive got at the moment does the same thing - it kills all revs till its happy to start going again. Not good when youre desperately trying to escape from a junction as above!
Disappeared from here because of too much sh*t stirring :@
Were now nicely settled, bought another house near Cirencester where we now live, changed jobs, sold the Cup:cry:, had a baby:D and enjoying life far too much :D
Ps Sam says hello!
ps Nice Car Loony - No thread hijack here...
I used to see that one (or one a lot like it) when I lived in Oxford.
Sometimes, when its dark outside and all around is quiet, I can still picture the horror of it!
ps - That means NO, I dont like it ;)
A few more stick on bits and they might let you put it on barryboys.co.uk ;)
Do the girls at your local McDonalds carpark like it?
Jealousy is a bitter feeling :devilish:
It will make you appreciate your car more when it comes back!
My fave moment in a courtesy car was ripping the tyre off the rim whilst attempting reverse donuts with three in the back and one in the boot!
ps dont buy ex courtesy 1.2 Clios from Renault in Oxford ;)
What an outrageous comment! Scrap what I said - everyone knows the Cup is tons better than the 172 both on the road and on the track... The only reason my Cup ran so closely to Loonys 172 because I eased off - I didnt want him to feel inferior about driving what is so obviously a girls car...
