IDEA: Guide for ClioSport

This is following my asking for the best ways to learn the names of different parts of the engine.

I'm thinking of buying an engine (no place to put a whole car), taking it to pieces, and taking photos of each of the individual parts. Posting the photos on here and getting you mechanic boffs to post the name of the part and what it does.

Now once I've gone thru the engine I'd make a full guide of all the individual photos/names/what they do - I don't think there's anything like this on the internet and think it would help every1 learn.

What do you all think?

Well it would be a mk1 clio engine =P.

But the main parts are same (just different variants).

I believe some people down in Sparkford at the Haynes Motor Museum had a similar idea and did quite well out of it!

If your talking about Haynes manuals, then you're wrong.

Haynes are completly useless for part identification.

I'm studying Mechatronics, my mates are doing automotive and the last two years have seen me studying the same stuff, so could be doing automotive too.lol.

1.8 8v head being stripped, all that remains now are the valves, for them i need to get around to buying a valve spring compressor, oh and i need to remove the studs.

Will get doing the same wiht the block once i get it
