ben h
dont wanna turn this into a sl*gging 172 thread
been driving the 172 for 4 weeks non stop now and its a cool car for what it is, but the main thing it lacks when compared to my old valver is its not AS FUN
i know some 172 owners will think im BS but my valver was properely...
managed to blag a lift in my old valver yesterday
i was well impressed that it was my old car and had been moddd so well to do wat it does
it was quick, yes fells quicker then my 172
handles better, corners flatter and at higher speeds
and makes a awesome noise and looks bloody good too...
rhys
nope not for a while now mate plans did not go as i planned
got no money, could possibly get a early one on the R but want a late one
so just gotta wait
finally the cars been collected... got 4300 fopr it in the end....
car was sold to someone whos got a standardish valver already but sold his to get mine... anyways at least itd save him money on mods in the long run...
cant wait for the teg but looks like my mums 17poo will have to do for...
its been done
two in the club i know of
adi 2.0 16v hill power modd to 175bhp
leigh williams 1 hill power modd to 173 bhp
and gazza bb tunning modd 180 odd bhp
if u want at the wheels 170 bhp more work is needed
very not normal
rodda99
mine use to do this when i first bought it but ive sorted it now, ine runs at 1/4 when driving normally and peaks at 1/2 when the fan always cuts in and never hotter
cost u a little bit of time to do but a cool running valver is much better
anyway
flush out...
just where it aint been ran for a while i would assume
take it out for a good thrashing and it should be ok
its been sat at ya mates farm barn or something for ages aint it
hmmm liquid ice
not fond of the looks of them but there ok i guess
my bro raced one in my valver ages ago, lets say he only caught up cos my bro backed off and waited for him,. its was all posted on the punto forums by the punto owner himself
wats ya budget,??? but if i wanted a modern...
just got it back
the engine mount under the battery failed
the bolt sheered in two and there have never seen anything like this b4
guess only i can break a mount like this hehe
glad its all done now, all fixed and raring to go
see how long it takes b4 i break something else
freddy
ok then u do that, but i cant see it being quick
prove me wrong i guess.
not having a dig at u, but i remember once this guy with a KA he turbo charged his engine (£4000) and how fast was the KA when it was all done
as fast as a bog standard xr2. now thats a waste of money for...
find the smashed up 172, freddy i cant see why its so hard to drop a 172 lump in. its basicaly the same car anyway
take the whole lot across,,box driveshaft engine mounts blah blah blah
be reliastic, u bought the 1.2 cos its cheap to run ect ect ins friendly
SC it wont yield good power as...
right there are i think in total 6
now im not sure but mine was a gearbox one that worked itself loose
could be that but mine was seriously pissing me off as one garaged wanted to take the head off and take a lookk at that, saying nit was a timing problem!!!!!!!
ben
i had this and made my car off the off for about 3 weeks
did it all, new leads new plugs new dizzy an d rotor ect ect
changed almost every sensor too plus paid for diagnostic too,
all mine was was a lose earth, i felt like smakshin the damn thing up as it seemed no one could ever fix it
