From the Times;
A motorist has been arrested for using a laser “jammer” to block speed cameras. The driver, who has not been named, was caught speeding in South Wales using a laser diffuser, not yet illegal, to prevent the speed of his car being read by cameras. He was arrested on suspicion of...
Gamesmasteruk, I spoke to a solicitor about my recent case and he reckoned that you can call all the witnesses to court and it wont make much differnce. The plod will say that the weather was good, hes trained to use the speed recording device and he could produce a calibration certificate out...
Has anybody here tried the "it was my friend from Oz!" plea ? By law the only requirement is that you tell them who was driving at the time of the alledged offence. Also a favourite new habit of mine is giving them the bird as I go through their speed cameras, assume theyll soon try and charge...
Lancashire Police have a zero tolerance policy, 31-35 mph in a 30 zone and you get the option of a speed awareness course for £90, or 3 points and a £60 fine. If I was at all cynical Id link this to the fact that theyre allowed to keep a percentage of the revenue.
Tommy.
Wait the full 28 days that youre allowed and then tell them it was either you or your missus, neither of you can remember. Ask them to provide the photographic evidence to aid you, the onus is on them to prove who was driving, not on you to cough and take the 3 points. They will try and bully...
I drive from Blackpool to Preston daily and its ridiculous. Lancashire has 4 mobile speed units (from their website) and the other day I saw 2 of them down the A583 in places where I cannot recall an accident in the last 5 years. I am all for strict enforcement by schools, etc but the crap they...
I drive 17 miles to work each day and there are 12 on my way. Ive requested accident figures to justify the cameras from Lancashire safety on three occassions. Heard nothing.
Tommy.
I know it serves me right, I was expecting a ban. Although the road in question has been reduced from 70 and is not a residential area.
My complaint is the way they try and justify the number of speed cameras, etc with saftey instead of just coming clean and confessing the need to raise...
Cos the speed Nazis are everywhere!
Just returned from court, 6 points and £350 for 87mph in a 50 zone.
Fair enough you may say, but on the drive to work the other day the Police had a Ford Galaxy parked on the pavement (people were having to step into the road to get past it) targeting a...
I can personally recommend my tyres. Ive just taken delivery of another pair of Goodyear F1s for £43 each, although think the price has now just gone up to £45.

WHAT IS THIS COUNTRY COMING TO ?
Ive just answered the door to a Policeman with a warrant for my arrest!
My court case was the 4th of Decmber, I spoke to a solicitor, sent in my driving license as requested. Was just about to write to them asking what the hell was going on and this happens...

Thinking of a couple of tweeks to my 172 and a magnex exhaust and an induction kit are the first to spring to mind. Aint a clue what these cost, anybody got an idea ?
Many thanks,
Tommy.
From what a mate said, Michelin recommend that you put the new tyres on the back and the partially worn ones on the front. Think he mentioned its something to do with oversteer. Some places (Costco) will not fit new tyres to the front.
There again just had F1s put on by my local indi and not...

Human Rights Issue.
Questions should be directed to a solicitor not the author of the UK SpeedTrap Guide, it is very important you think about...

Cheers Cap, already been to this website amongst others. These figures are 11 months old and are only guidlines. Not bothered about the fine, its the points/ban that concerns me.
