Laser diffuser

  Honda Civic Type R GT

From the Times;

A motorist has been arrested for using a laser “jammer” to block speed cameras. The driver, who has not been named, was caught speeding in South Wales using a laser diffuser, not yet illegal, to prevent the speed of his car being read by cameras. He was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

Anybody know how they work, how much they cost, and where youd get one ?

Regards,

Tommy.

Are they the ones that blank ur number plate out? Ive also heard about things which act like the flash on a camera so that when u go past a speed camera it flashes and the camera cant take decent pics as its "blinded"

1) Open Garage

2) Select can of spray paint that you wont be needing again

3) drive to nearest speed camera parking around the corner from it.

4) Take a walk to speed camera

5) Apply spray paint to lens and flash unit

6) Wait 15 minutes for 1st coat to go tacky.

7) If rozzers have not yet appeared apply another coat of paint

8) run in the swift direction of your motor vehicle

9) drive away quickly but not too fast as to attract attention.

10) get admired by all your mates who drove through that speed camera and didnt get a ticket.

NB: If the pigs appear between steps 6 and 7 then leg it as quick as you can. A spare tyre filled with petrol put over the camera and set alight will have the same desired effect.

*This is meant as a joke and should not really be carried out, any such actions undertaken by yourself is your responsibiliy and not mine. Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments.

Reminding me of that test Clarkson did to fool the camera at a high enough speed. Ok so you need to go out and buy a fast enough car ( £90 grand ) but just think of the saving on speeding fines. Pays for its self in 67 years!

He didnt get prosocuted for speeding.

He got done for perverting the court of justice by jamming thier signal.

It obviously worked very well, but didnt amuse the police. The new jammers have these functions.

We installed that the Snooper version along with the top of the range snooper Gatso Detector (Cant remember the model number)

He got caught using it. And couldnt turn it off in time. He got 3 points and a fine. Not sure what the charge was. But he wasnt arrested or anything like that.

the laser jammers pick up the signal from police speed lasers (used to check speed), then block the signal so the laser cannot get a reading.

cost aroung £300+

Im looking at buying a Snoper S6R NEO after going past a mobile trap yesterday.

Are they any good?

Id never get a jammer, youre asking to get the rubber gloves and KY treatment from the filth for using one! ;) I suspect most cavemen Police officers dont smile upon using detectors, let alone diffusers.

Also someones Dad on SCC had theirs destroyed by the roadside when using it in France, it was that or £1000 on the spot fine!
