stripped the interior last night
seats out, carpet out, foam out and now drying - not happy
but still cannot find the source of the leak!
behind the pedals there is another foam "blanket" its slightly damp at the bottom but im hoping this is due to travel of water up the foam...
Im pretty sure ive a serious leak in my 2003 dci clio
in the drivers footwell, its completely soaking
at first i thought i must have spilt a bottle of water but the other night it was lashing with rain and i went through a few "puddles" (more like rivers) on the road
now the footwell...
ive 16mm hubcentric ones on my deisel clio and ive had no problems - maybe slight steering wheel vibration :S
ive new 25mm ones going on this weekend but ive a mate who has the same on his clio for 5 years with no probs!
mate - that clio is a complete heap
the guy goes to my uni and the bodywork is awfull
paint is crap and the parts dont match up - lots of gaps and holes
wheels look awfull and are lost in the massive arches not being lowered
terrible car
its from northern ireland by the way...
i was and then it ran out and ive tried to become a member again but i cant find the form, ive pm'd mods and i havent heard and i wasn't offered it again :(
got the new bigger alloys on and the standard brakes look tiny!!
im after a set of bigger brakes to fill the gaps
not after anything really fancy - something with similar performance to the standard brakes - better is a bonus
i dont have much knowledge when it comes to brakes - what...
for a start - dont buy from k-tec, they charge too much!
those kits above are styled in a jap theme and dont suit a french car
if your styling a clio it suits best being smooth and phat - ie euro style!
get a skirt kit and get it blended into the bumpers and make your clio custom -...
there are not many really "nice" kits for the clio imo
best kit's for clio's are skirt kits from prima racing
but the best kit for a clio is the 172/82 kit
but the best thing to do is customize your clio if your wanting something different
just off the phone to FK and apparently there is no coilover set up for my car :S strange!
but i know definately that cobra make a set and spax
which to go for though?
cobra is slightly more than the spax kit and ive heard nothing but good comments about spax
opinions? or any...
but in the cup you do not have a sunroof :S
i too think it would be odd but still a very reasonable incident - stiff front flexy rear which may lead to bends/dents in the metal :S
better to be safe than sorry and never worry about it
thanks anyways
i dont know its just the rumour ive been hearing for a couple of years about clios with a lowered and strut bar set up with a sunroof :S
the only way to find out is to fit it and hope for the best but my car is heavily modified so it wouldnt suit a dented roof lol
plus im from northern...
Ive a manual sunroof in my 03 clio and fancy changing to an electric roof.
I dont plan to buy from renault so im going to search the breakers
what are the advantages of the electric roof apart from it being automatic and a bit more flash?
easy to fit?
how much roughly?
thanks :D
Over the past couple of years ive heard the rumours of clio's getting kinked roofs when the combination of a strut brace, sun roof and lowered are put together
ive been offered a k-tec carbon brace for good money and im considering it but i dont want a kinked roof!!
wheres the truth in...
bastids! mite try get free number plates from the shop or something lol
thanks :D
but has anyone else had problems getting clio coilovers from FK?
one guy from my direction had problems (sent him the wrong ones) and tigger gave up on his FK's and got cobra's
