Yea check that the laser module is plugged into the BLUE connector and not anywhere else (I was itching to get mine working too so can see an easy mistake here).
Also update the software to the latest vertion (1.12 from memory).
The beep when you hammer it sounds like the overspeed warn. Every time you exceed a certain speed (default 80 mph) the unit will beep at you. Obviously this is very annoying and so you can turn it off by going into the menu.
The two arrows are displayed when you go past a camera that is facing...
Optimax has been proven to live up to all its claims time and time again by so many independant testers (notably Evo magazine).
All the performance cars in the household use it - for an extra £2-3 per fill up its really worth it.
The Noble first ran there in the wet, and it was the 2.5 litre model which has only 5 gears and no LSD.
The Noble then offered a 3 litre model which has a 6-speed box and a ATB diff.
The power laps are useless now though as the track has changed. The Merc SLR ran a really quick time, but its...
Pleased to hear youre getting on well with it.
Have you had any problems? In my experience the modern (and not so modern) Jap motors are almost bullet-proof.
But Rich the kick is like your Honda hitting 6k ;). Ill take a video of it next time Im with Jon and post it up.
Its like a VTEC kick. Mine goes to five and then finds a second wind, but Jons is almost a shove in the back at 5k. Its bloody brill!
Im relieved reading this thread.
I was expecting another: "...by 100 mph he had pulled a car length on me, but I soon pulled that back once we reached the twisty section!"
LOL
I see what youre saying, but the pedal is so sharp in the non-sport Clios that youll have a pretty hard time of adjusting the brake force. The Cup has a very progressive pedal, and the 1.2s seem like they are just equipped with an on/off switch for the brakes in comparison.
Have you had a go...
The front wheels are set to do around 80% of the braking. The rear brakes are really only there to balance the car under braking. This is why you wear out front pads so much faster, and also why many cars make do with drums at the back.
Anyone wishing to remove the ABS on their car because...
4 channel amps have independant crossovers, so you can control which speakers play chich frequencies.
You need to set both crossovers to the same settings for the same sound.
Ive still got the Clio mate.
The guy around Purley has a dark blue Noble. Its the 27th one made and has the 2.5 litre engine.
He is on very good terms with the factory though, and they have given him a significant power boost. He has the weight advantage of the 2.5 litre, and the power and...
Ah you mean the Noble? The one in my avatar is not mine - it belongs to the garage where the order has been placed - thats me sitting in it though. :D
The car doesnt actually arrive for another month :(
The volumetric efficiency of the engine will not change!
Exactly the same volume of air is sucked in, but because of the increased heat of the air, it contains less air as you have said.
The ECU knows by the inlet temp sensor to add less fuel to ensure not too much fuel is left unburnt, and...
You need a 4 channel amp.
2 channels to power the left and right components, and the other two channels bridged into mono.
The main answer to your question is to check that the amp has independant crossovers. This is so you can set a low-pass filter on the two channels that go to the sub...
I think youll find that there are no speakers next to the parcel shelf either side, but there are some where your rear passengers thighs touch on the back seat.
My 2000 model has rear speakers.
