what was a lorry doing in the outside lane anyway? find out if its one thats allowed to be there
My old alpine used to do this regularly, push the magazine in and start again. press the eject button, and when it gets jammed give it a thump on the top (the largest surface - where it says "alpine"). use the side of your fist, quite hard, but try not to punch it. you get used to where and how...
Ive had mine replaced - its an old valver, but im sure you can get new bits from demon tweeks or something. i dont know why the problem is not fixable. Personally id take it to another garage for a second opinion, but im like that cos im not used to having new cars.
Is it a bit like suspension? If you drop the pressure, does it give you more grip but not as good handling? Can you have the fronts less than the backs to induce oversteer?
I got a complement for my parking the other day, i came back to my car and someone had stuck a sticker on my window saying "parking fine", which was nice.
I suggest changing the filter, its not as if theyre expensive, and they often get missed on services when they should get done. Whats your milage? i think they should get changed about every 20k anyway.
I had an MG Metro for my first car, that later turned out to have a 1480 engine in it.
I did own a 1.7 volvo 340 (or was it a 360?), but really i was just selling it for a mate.
I bought a Pulsar that overheated on the journey home from the dealers and then spent the next 18 months in and...
That bloke with the exhausts is from stortford or harlow or something, someone i work with knows him.
Is the 200 edition good? have you checked out the dvd yet?
I might have to stick the old wheels back on to compare. One thing i really noticed this morning is the increased confidence i have in going round fast corners.
The clio seems to lift quite a lot at high speeds, especially at the front, somehow the wider wheels have a much more positive turn...
Ive got some wide 16s and the grip is really good. As for handling its difficult to tell as ive had other stuff done too, but to be honest i didnt notice too much difference, its harder to unstick thats for sure.
Mines alway understeered, i guess its unavoidable in a fwd, the 16s didnt seem to...
OK, i agree with the general feel here that youre not gonna get a good one for £1700 unless youre very very lucky. Things to look out for are:
Rusty crap on the water expansion tank - could be engine wear, Big dead zone in the straight ahead position on the steering - worn rack. Bubbles above...
Nick has them on his - they look pretty tasty. I was never into five spokes until i got into clios, somehow they suit. Ive seen plenty of ads for chronos in CCC, im sure theres still plenty about, it suprises me that theyve ended them.
