I have a bit of money to spare at the moment (which is rare lol) and I'm thinking about an upgrade.
Not having upgraded for a few years has left me out of the loop a bit, so I'm after some advice.
I have about £350 give or take, although I want to spend as little as possible and would need...

Pipex acknowledge that my IP Profile is wrong, apparently BT need to sort it out.
Apparently BT can't find anything wrong and need to send out an engineer or so the text message Pipex sent me today says...

Dell is going to lead, do you think others will follow?
Will you be buying a machine with Linux pre-installed?
I bet MS will be watching what happens closely!
Don't suppose anyone here works in Pipex tech support?
From what I can gather our line speed has been upgraded to 8Mb but my account is still on 2Mb.
I e-mailed on Tuesday but had no reply. Don't fancy ringing due to the charges!
Any (PC-)BSD users on here?
Having recently swapped Ubuntu for openSUSE I'm now thinking of swapping openSUSE for PC-BSD.
Read a lot and seen a lot of screenshots but has anyone actually had any experience of running either PC-BSD or other variants?
Has anyone got this game or know of a problem with it?
If I go into controller and re-select a controller profile then play a stage then the rumble works for perhaps 10 seconds and it's very, very minimal then seems to turn off.
My pad is working fine as when I change the rumble strength it...
Due to Pipex pissing about and cancelling our voice service with them and being unable to reconnect us (problems with BT) we are now back on b*****d BT.

I have a linksys BEFSR81 router (cable/dsl) that i used to use with a cable modem.
We should shortly be set up with ADSL from Pipex. I have a Linksys ADSL2MUE modem.
Pipex needs PPPoA but the router only has the following options:
Static IP
Obtain IP Automatically
PPPoE
RAS
PPTP
Does this...
Do you still sell the Linksys ADSL2MUE? (ADSL Modem)
If so, any idea on price?
Pipex have sent us a USB modem when I'm after an ethernet one. Already got a Linksys Router so may as well get the same brand.
I can't see the modem on the pc world website anymore though.
Whilst I wait for Sky to answer me.....
Does anyone know if you can set up payment via your bank for DD without having a debit card? Their website doesn't give the option.
