i have just taken the standard Tape Player out of my Clio DCi and replaced with a Panasonic CD player
I bought a proper Panasonic ISO adapter that fit perfect and works fine.....BUT when i turn the igition on, the cd player just displays "MUTING 0".....HOWEVER....when i turn the sidelights on...

Text the registration number to 83600 - it's a TXT service for HPI'ing cars, i have used it loads of times, tells you everything a HPI check would, best still, it's only £3. well worth it in the long run.

the only thing u need to know in regards to swapping the seats is where to put the resistor.
On the driver seat, underneath, there is a Black plug and a grey plug.....the resistor goes in the black plug in the pins on the Orange and Brown wire (they are next to each other), put the resistor in...
thats what i thought too - he had them at £100 buy it now or best offer, i sent an offer of £70 and he accepted, much to my surprise.

I have finally fitted the 172 seats that i bought earlier this week.
as you know DCi seats have side airbags built in and 172 seats dont.
I looked on here for the guide to fitting the resistor to keep the air bag light off and it has worked a treat.
I got a 3.3 Ohm resistor from Maplins...
Excellent, i just found the aftermarket seat fitting guide on here so i'll get the 3.Ohms resistors and follow that guide, looks simple enough.
seems a common problem with certain clio front seats, they Tear or splt at the joint between the back rest and the seat

ok, if i unplug thre seats, cut the plug off and then twist the wires together wont that trick the system into thinking the air bags are still there?
The seats in my Clio DCi 2002 are a bit tatty - so i bought some Clio Cup 2004 seats off ebay.
my DCi seats have side airbags..........the cup seats dont.
that doesnt bother me, what does bother me is, if i unplug the air bags from the seats, will the air bag light come on on the dash?
