When doing the old 6k Oil change over the weekend i noticed oil on top of the engine. not knowing a great deal about these things, i'm just wondering if this is kind of normal? or if i have a slight oil leak. (been hearing about a common 172/182 oil leak.. is this it? Any ideas?

Does anyone know? When you have your 172 serviced at a renault dealer, what oil do they put in? If it's half decent stuff do they sell it? as i want to change my oil between service intervals but don't wanna spend a fortune on some, only for it to be changed to cheaper stuff in 6k miles time.

I've always used a chamois leather to dry my cars, but keep thinking of getting a drying towel (whatever they're called) hoping that it'll make life slightly easier. What do you guys use? Also anyone know of good websites to get a drying towel from?

I have just gone through the insurance renewal procees on my car. Last year they didn't have a 172 'cup' on the system so they assured me it was the same as a 172 'sport' This year i called them up (them being privilege) and cancelled my insurance (as it's a few quid cheaper online & £25 less...

Just coming out of sainsbury's emersons green tonight around 5pm, as i went onto the ring road a shiny blue (arctic?) 182 came around the roundabout after me.. And followed me as i turned off towards pucklechurch. He then turned off at the siston turning. No flash of the lights :-(...
